- Gemini 2.5 flashlight is rolling in the preview.
- The Gemini 2.5 Flash and the stable versions of Pro are also ending.
- Input costs for Flash have increased by $ 0.15, but production has decreased by $ 1.00.
Google introduced Gemini 2.5 earlier this year, the first model of the Pro (experimental) series. After a few months, the company developed a sharp model at the initial access, called Gemini 2.5 Flash. Now the firm has updates to these two models and is launching a high -speed model in the preview.
It can be difficult to monitor all different Gemini models at this location, but Google is debuting the third model in the 2.5 line. This model is called Gemini 2.5 Flash Light and is said to have the lowest delay and cost in the family. According to Google, this model is perfect for “high -thropped task -like classification or scale summarizing.”
Like Gemini 2.5 Pro and Flash, the flashlight is described as a reasoning model. This means that it is capable of arguing through its ideas before responding to better accuracy. Unlike the other two models, Google says the “thinking” has been closed by default on the flashlight as the focus of cost and speed is the focus. However, the model “allows dynamic control over the thinking budget with the API parameter.”
Meanwhile, Mountain View -based firm is now making Gemini 2.5 Pro and Flash stable and generally available. With stable, Google says it is updating flash prices. The cost for the input is increasing by $ 0.15, while the cost of production is less than $ 3.50.
You can continue the current pricing scheme until the 2.5 flash preview or 2.5 pro preview date. For the 2.5 Pro preview, the date of deprivation will be June 19, 2025. Before Google shut down the 2.5 flash preview, you will be on July 15, 2025.
