    • Soligam’s 122.88TB SSD may not be the fastest, but it wins on density and design
    • At 12,400, this SSD is not cheap, but it may reduce the rack space and energy waste
    • Solidegam has already rivals 122.88tb SSD products to compete

With the amazing capacity of 122.88TB, Soldigam D5-P5336 is currently titled for the world’s largest SSD.

Launched at the end of 2024, it became available at 12,400, for purchase, it is a personality that can be seen standing, unless one considers operational cost savings by reducing the space and energy use of energy.

Since the purpose of Solidigum is to lead the market in high -capacity enterprise storage, the company can soon face not only performance, but also on a scale competition.

246TB SSD can come in 2025

Reports now say that 246TB can be introduced before the end of SSD 2025, which potentially double the roof of today’s storage.

Soldigam’s drive has been positioned as the first product of density, with the reading speed up to 7GB/second and writes 3GB/second speed by PCI Jane 4.

This is better than the work load that benefits from high sequential reading performance, such as AI pipelines, CDN services, and object storage.

Soldigam’s D5-P5336 122.88TB SSD packs a decent capacity in the same U.2 drive and sets a new benchmark in SSD storage density.

Still, despite the scale, real -world benchmarks indicate that the performance is not from the posts.

It often matches its 61.44TB predecessor in the load of high continuity or slightly trails, and the micron’s 61TB 6550, especially in heavy operations written, is left behind 5 drives.

The 122.88TB model offers minor endurance in 0.6 DWPD, which is equivalent to 134.3 PB written in its five -year warranty period.

This makes it a fit for a heavy environment, but is less ideal for mixed or written in writing.

Nevertheless, the Soligam strategy is clear: focus on the maximum storage per watt, each rack unit, and the dollar.

Similarly, this drive may not be the best SSD in terms of raw performance, but it plays an important role in modern data centers where density and performance drive infrastructure design.

Competitive landscapes are also changing, and very few well -known Chinese brand depotters have released its 122.88TB SSD, which has added to the race for high -capable flash.

Although its long -term reliability and assistance details are limited, it is a signal that interest in the ultra -dense enterprise SSD beyond the established players is increasing.

That said, 246TB SSD raises important questions. Can Nand Technology and Controller performance maintain this growth?

And will such a capacity jump continue to improve meaningful performance?

Since the data centers make a bruise for the demand for AI-DEMAND, the answer can not only describe the best external SSD for hypertoSlers but also the largest SSD and hard drive technologies as a whole.
