A few days ago, a report has surfaced how Apple is changing its release schedule for the iPhone. Now, more details have come out, and it seems that the schedule is a bit different from what was actually understood: next year no base model iPhone 18 will be.
Apple wants to release the base model iPhone along with the Galaxy phones at the beginning of the year. First, it seemed as if the iPhone 18 started its launch along with the Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup just months after the start of the iPhone 17, just after the beginning of the iPhone 17. However, this is not the case.
The base model of iPhone 18 will be revealed in early 2027, a detailed new report (Translated source) Meanwhile, the iPhone 18 Air, Pro, and Pro Max models will be launched as expected: it is likely that in September 2026. Foldable iPhone will also be released with iPhone 18, and will be marketing pro Max models as the next step.
According to the report, Apple believes the new strategy will help improve iPhone sales. I do not understand how, if it was the other way, it would have been better. If the base model comes first, people will upgrade it for the latest and largest iPhone, and then re -upgrade to the Pro Model after half a year.
Apple’s new strategy means that people will have the best iPhone access before the base model expires. Perhaps the company is hoping that many people, who have actually bought a base model, instead of buying more expensive pro models because they don’t want to wait.

Meanwhile, the budget line will not change. The iPhone 17 E will come around the same time as his predecessor did this year.
So far, Samsung – Apple’s largest smartphone rival state side – has no plans to plan its release schedule. Galaxy S26 The phones will be released together at the beginning of next year, with the Galaxy Z Philip 8 and the Galaxy Z Fool 8 after a few months after the suit.
