2025 is becoming a great year for O LED TV, which includes new models of LG, Samsung, Sony and Panasonic that perform strongly throughout the board.
We recently collected the Best Old TV, LGG5, Samsung S95F, Sony Bravia 8 II and Panasonic Z 95B, with the intention of being blind TV shows. Our Show Dowan Wee, we chose to use comfortable, non -TV expert audiences.
Only weeks before publishing our show down results, New York -based AV retailer Value Electronics organized their annual OLED TV shootout using the same four models, but creates a Judging Panel with TV experts. Needless to say, the two shoot -out results yielded very different results, which I will explain in detail below.

Setup

Before the results come, the setup used for these two shows must be distinguished.
For Takadar’s OLED TV show down, TV was compared using out -of -the -box settings, which only stopped automatically shining correction. We intended to present TV as you just bought them from a store.
Contemporary Wee, we asked our panel to decide TV about five types: Dark movies/watching, color, action, appliance, and sports/movement. The TV was set up to all tests except sports, in its respective cinema/movie methods, where they were converted into a standard format. Then we asked everyone to vote for their favorite TV for every category.
In Value Electronics (VE) shoot -out, every TV was professionally caled for getting a better picture. A combination of ‘real world’ materials and test patterns was used for diagnosis. Also, Sony’s two BVM-HX3110 Professional Mastering Monitor was used so that experts can compare each TV with a reference display.
The V -shoot -out category was divided into SDR and HDR, and they include the following: SDR unlike/gray scale, HDR, color, processing, and dynamic range/EOTF accuracy for viewing the living room. Each judge scored one to five for each TV in each category, and the average score was used for the last tomorrow.
Therefore, here you have two different setups which have two different methods. Focusing on the exchange of tekradar firing, comfortable viewers suffered charm, while VK Shootout included TV experts in a professional reference monitor.
Results
The following are the results of both shoot -outs, which is the top of the Tech Radar and the results of VE’s SDR are second and HDR results are third:

For our panels, the joint winners were Samsung S95F and LG G5, the G5 gained a strong promotion in points through its domination in the advanced category, where it got all 12 votes. The third was the Panasonic Z 95B, and in the last place, Sony Bravia was 8 II.
In the VE shoot -out, Sony Bravia 8 II was the overall winner. He won three in the SDR, and although he did not win any HDR categories, he scored a lot of them. Including the score, Samsung S95F secured second position, Panasonic Z 95B (HDR category winner) came in third, and the LGG5 came to the last place with some margin. Here is a link to the PDF version of the VE shootout results.
The differences of opinion

The most obvious difference between the two shootouts is that Sony Bravia 8 II came to us at the last, while it came first in the VE test. Bravia 8 II scored a lot for its accuracy in all categories in exchange for expert firing, but in our out -of -box tests, Bravia 8 II was significantly dimmed and, as a result, looks ‘flatter’ than its more bright rivals.
In our test of Bravia 8 II, we found that its HDR peak brightness was particularly lower than the LG G5 and S95F, Bravia 8 II hit 2,268 nets of G5 and 2,132 Nits of S95F (with the measuring of each TV’s highly accurate photo mode). The flash loss potentially affected its chances in all our tests.
The second major difference between the two shows is the G5 place. In our test, it was a joint winner, while in the VE’s show, it was the last time. I have mentioned how G5 got real promotion from advanced testing, but after taking it out, the G5 still received high votes in all other categories, especially in color and sports, where 5 and 4, respectively, received high votes. In the VE shoot -out, it could not win in any way, though he did a good job in seeing a bright room and the color of the SDR. Once again, could it be down on the G5’s high brightness, which would get the edge of the spectacle?
Matching
In both show downs, Samsung S95F (picture here with our review) scored a lot of tests in numerous tests (Image Credit: Future)
There were some similarities, despite major differences in the TV place in both shootouts. The Samsung S95F performed well in three of our five Test categories (color, dark movies, and action) and it was the strongest overall TV. Although the S95F VE did not win overall in the SDR or HDR in the Shootout, it scored extremely for both SDR and HDR colors. So it seems that experts and casual audiences equally agree that the S95F has the best color display.
The S95F also performed well in the VE Shootout to watch the HDR Bright Room – it is not surprising to see the effective glare free screen. Although it was no official category for us, but we saw BatmanOur dark room reference scene, in a complete bright room as well as in dim light conditions, and it was clear on our panel that S95F performed well in four TVs here.
Panasonic Z 95B did not get many winning votes in our tests, but it received praise during the dark scenes, and received praise for its accuracy. In the V -shoot -out, Z 95B won for HDREO TF, which is primarily a shining accuracy. Helping the correct EOTF on a TV will help show the shadow details in the opposite movie BatmanAnd it seems that our panel also praised the accuracy of Z95B.
The final views
Although these two showdowns (the above picture of Takadar) are different, but both offer interesting insights (Image Credit: Warner Bruce / Future)
Although V and other TV expert shootouts are very important to determine which TV is more closely implemented on industry standards and can also show what TV is really capable of being professionally, we wanted to offer alternatives. Not every TV owner will have the resources to have his own set Caliber, and some will just want the plug and play experience. Our show was prepared with the latter audience in mind.
It is worth noting that, while the results of these two shootouts are very different, 2025 have developed some extraordinary TV, and each of them has OLED strength. If you are tearing down, check out all the feedback and resources available, and if you can, see them in stores for yourself!
