A lot is going on in iOS 26, thanks to all the changes and features that are adding to Apple software. But like the call screening and customized alarm snacks, such as an increase, it cannot be denied that Apple has angled the new liquid glass design as its larger sales point.
Unfortunately, this is the worst part of upgrading iOS 26. Or at least, this is my personal opinion. I never liked the shape of a liquid glass, but returning to the iPhone 12, which is still running iOS 18, is a reminder of how much things have changed – and not better.
I call boring, but the liquid glass is very fast and bright for my choice. Although Apple has given us the opportunity to eliminate transparency, I don’t think it’s quite a lot.

The key thing I really dislikes about liquid glass is what it has done with the dyeing of iOS software. It is overly bright, with some strange emphasis on the shining patterns, and it immediately forces me to think about the difficult resorts of the beach, which is the shadow of their former self.
It is as if the iOS has been put through some Gadi Nen filter, which makes everything significantly seen.
It is as if the iOS has been put through some Gadi Nen filter, which makes everything significantly seen. Not just because bright colors are not exactly right, but because the shining effects combine some feature colors – especially with half -arm length.
Not all apps and icons are like this, but there are many of them – especially those made by Apple themselves. I need to surprise what the design team was actually thinking when they came with this glance.

Fairly, the last Major IOS design was widely criticized for returning in 2013. People wanted to keep the old skimfrick design instead of more smooth shape, up to its 12th anniversary.
People did not like the design, and some announced that it looks cheap and feel confused. Former Verge editor -in -chief, Joshua Topolski, criticized some art as it came straight from clip art.
People do not like change. They never have, and since the Internet has given them a voice, they are using it to complain that the old thing is better than something new. I know that I have been guilty of it at times, even if I try and excuse not.
I think it would take a lot of me to make a liquid glass design. As was flat, boring and relatively simple as easy as the old iOS look, he did a great job. Like a power cable for a long time, which was not so much for it.
Minimum transparency can be shut down

The second part of the liquid glass that I really disliked was the design of all the designs. When I open the tab or menu, I do not really want to see the blurred remains of the last thing I was seeing in the background.
iOS 18 did this to a degree, and I didn’t like it. A great example of this was the control panel, which was like looking at the frosting glass on the home screen’s silk. Liquid glass heads have reached the point where you can still recognize what is happening in the background.
Apple uses words like “beautiful” and “delightful” when talking about liquid glasses, but the fact is that it is none of these things. It is dirty, weird, and when it can look clean and better in marketing content, the results of the real world are anything but aesthetically happy.

Apple has made changes over the past two months, and by reducing some transparent effects in places – even the location that some people jokingly say it should be called “frost -laden glass”.
It was alleged to help improve the devices of better use devices, and show why beta testing happened like this. But, personally, like iOS 26 Public Beta 2, matters have not passed enough.
Thankfully, there is a solution to the problem of transparency right now. You can completely close it, and the previous transparent menos and icons can automatically get vague background. Head Settings> Leaks> Display and Text Size> Reduce transparency.
When this feature is used, gray and brown are used, which may not be the most flattering colors, but they are unlimited from transparent menus.
Down line
Talk to me again in a few years, and there is an opportunity to feel different about liquid glass. But right now, when I look at my iPhone, I can only do how matters have changed, and I think it’s all now.
Thankfully, you can stop the effect of transparency in the leakage settings, if Apple lets us do the same with the shining effects, I will be pressured. Because right now the whole system feels like a tamo -style version of Las Vegas. But since these effects were developed in icons and artwork instead of OS, the possibility is probably only a pipe dream.
In fact, it makes me happy that I usually use an Android phone. If I decide that I don’t like what the manufacturer has done to the software, I can always change one of the best Android launchers and find things. It may be about the time when Apple did the same.
