Mayor Eric Adams announced the weekend that New York City will send users real -time public safety alerts based on a specific location by a citizen of crime. The city has also announced that like the New York City Police Department, Department, and Emergency Administration, public safety agencies will have access to a portal to assess joint footage by consumers on citizens.

For cities like New York, the Citizens Certain Partner Program is linked to the Fusus Platform, a partnership with the “Real Time Crime Center”, which it acquired last year. Exxon announced a color partnership in April, which allows law enforcement agencies to request access to video footage from owners’ security cameras in a particular area during a particular time. At the same time, it also announced integration with citizens to help citizens’ consumers send warnings and pull public videos. According to Citizens, users who do not want their videos directly can opt out in the app settings, but all the posts posted are still “worth viewing and downloading.”

Adams said NYC’s new public protection account for citizens will send information about public safety, climate emergency, and large events based on the user’s neighborhood, zip code or borow.

Citizens allow users to report safety potential events, share videos, and broadcast direct footage from inside the app. It also says that he can send alerts to nearby mobile devices “within seconds or users’ report” within seconds, and also offers a premium safety line.

Citizens already allow law enforcement agencies to get information from their app as long as they have a warrant, but in the event of an emergency, it gives the police the ability to “get” data “without delay. It was actually launched in 2016 under the name “Vegilanta”, but this app was booted from the App Store to promote vigilance, Takkarch It was reported at this time. The app was later re -launched as a citizen and since then it has been severely criticized, some people argued that it fears the communities. In 2021, Citizens CEO Andrew Frame on fire was on fire to encourage the wrong person to start a California forest fire.
