Openi is allegedly developing new productive tools for Chat GPT that can reduce users’ dependence on Microsoft’s Excel and PowerPoint. According to the report, San Francisco -based artificial intelligence (AI) firm is working to add support for Microsoft’s spreadsheet and presentation file formats, so users can direct and edit both files directly into the chat boot interface. Separately, the company is also allegedly creating an AI agent that can collect public or corporate data to make comprehensive reports. In particular, another report claims that the Openi AI is also working on developing a web browser.
Chat GPT can soon allow users to edit Excel and PowerPoint files
If you are among the people who use a chatgot for their productivity needs, you will already know that AI Chatboat is able to produce plain text spreadsheets and presentations. It can also be opened in canvas mode, which allows users to edit these files themselves or make in -line changes to AI.
As an alternative, users can also ask Chat GPT to produce Excel (.XLSX) or PowerPoint (.PPTX) file directly, which can be downloaded and opened by relevant application. However, users cannot open these files in a chat boot interface or create a new sheet inside the canvas. So the start of the current work is to make the basics of the file as a simple text, then convert it to Excel or PowerPoint file and download it.
But it also brings a combination of its challenges. Since these are simple text files, Chat GPT cannot add functions to Excel or cannot add any visual elements or dynamic images to the PowerPoint. According to the information, the Open is now planning to eliminate this gap. Referring to an unknown source that has used a new feature, the publication claims that the AI firm has developed support for XLXS and PPTX file formats within Chat GPT.
Increasing this capacity does not break any copyright rules, as Microsoft has opened the files for these files. Although this report does not mention any release data for these features, it highlights that they may reduce their dependence on Microsoft’s office apps.
Separately, the report claims that Openi Chat is also working on an AI agent for GPT, which can create public data or external data -based reports (such as XLSX and PPTX formats) (corporate data, uploaded files, etc.). There is no word on the date of his release.
