- Google now allows all users to share the Google Calendar appointment page in Gmail.
- This allows you to easily propose a slot to meet with others via email.
- This general release came in May after Google announced this feature.
Appointments by email can be a bit hurtful, as you have to go back and forth with people and wait for their response. However, Google has now brought an easy feature for all Gmail users.
Google has announced on its workplace updates blog that all users can now share their Google Calendar appointment page in Gmail. I can confirm this feature in both my personal and work accounts.
To share your appointment booking page in Gmail, tap on the calendar icon below your email draft, then tap Recommend times you are free. Don’t see calendar icon in your Gmail draft window? Then tap and select the first elliptical icon Sort a Time to meet> Suggest that you are free.
In any case, it will pop up your calendar window, and you can click on your calendar to define yourself free or manually. Your specific slots/times will appear in your email later, which will allow the recipient to easily select your desired appointment time.
This should make life a bit easier because you do not need to email others repeatedly in terms of availability of appointment. It also means that you do not need to open a new browser tab for your calendar, which should accelerate things and reduce clutter. This feature was revealed by Google after announcing it in May and initially released it to work space users.
