Huawei’s Mate 80 lineup has officially gone live in China. Along with the Mate 80 and Mate 80 Pro, the series also includes the Mate 80 Pro Max and Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design. Both phones offer dual telephoto cameras and 6,000 mAh batteries.

    Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max

The Mate 80 Pro Max is similar in design to the Mate 80 Pro, but comes with a larger display, better chipset, quad rear camera setup, and a bigger battery. The phone features a 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED LTPO display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 8,000 nits.

It is powered by the Kirin 9030 Pro SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The phone runs Harmonios 6, which brings a number of UI changes and AI features.

On the back, the Pro Max features a quad-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor with variable aperture and OIS, a 40MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP macro telephoto camera with f/2.1 and OIS, and another 50MP periscope telephoto with OIS and 6.2x optical zoom. All of this is complemented by Huawei’s second-gen Red Maple imaging chipset.

For selfies, the phone offers a 13MP camera and also offers 3D depth sensing tech.
