When it comes to new Netflix movies, I consider myself beautiful on the ball. However, it is literally my job to be aware of the latest release of streaming service.
However, when I don’t talk about “nowhere” I will admit to falling the ball of the idiom. The Spanish survival thriller returned to Netflix in September 2023, and clearly, I must have been busy that day, because it came and went without me. I apologize for the supervision.
Earlier this week, combing through the Netflix Library for the Best Single Location Film article on the platform, I stumbled from this original film, and on the basis of interesting posters alone, I immediately. He added it to the upper part of his watch list.

Now after streaming the film, I am glad I discovered it, as this thrilling movie is a very severe ride, anchoring through an extraordinary well -known performance. It is not perfect in any way, but I was bowed for the entire run time.
So, if you are looking for a Netflix movie to give you a shock of excitement over the weekend, “nowhere” is going to consider. Need more details? Let’s dive why this survival thriller is so effective.
What about ‘nowhere’?
Nowhere | Official trailer | Netflix – YouTube
Look
A Dustian -established future, where climate change, over -population and low resources have left the world in chaos, Mia (Anna Castilo) and Nico (Tamar Novas) are a husband and wife who are trying to escape from Spain after being occupied by a brutal government.
Nico and a heavy pregnant Mia pays a group of smugglers to help cross the border and flee to Ireland on the cargo ship, which is still one of the few countries with a democratic society. They have been instructed to hide in large shipping containers, including dozens of others, want to escape.
However, they soon be separated into various containers before crossing the military checkpoint. The situation increases more when Mia’s container is knocked on the overboard during a violent storm, and she finds itself alone, trapped in the container when it flows into the sea and is slowly filled with water.
Mia will have to try to survive and find a way to meet with Nico, not only for himself, but also for her non -birth child.

“Nowhere” is a rare survival thriller that trembled me. The idea of getting into the shipping container slowly drowning is purely nightmare.
The fact is that the main character of the film is pregnant and giving birth at any time only increases the feeling of despair in the situation. This is intense, but rather the thrilling look. He also makes.
Most of the film’s strength is achieved by the performance of Mia and Anna Castilo itself. Although Mia is a weak character and is initially frustrated in her horrible situation, this discomfort gives a powerful drive to survive soon. After all, Mia is a very worthy heroin. Castle is terrific, which presents both sides of the character in some impressive ways.

The story follows the routine trumps of normal survival. Mia’s survival depends on solving many of her problems, from food shortages to finding a way to help, to the biggest obstacle, the fact that the container is slowly filling with seawater and will sink in a few days. And while this structure is not unique, Mia’s restlessness keeps you leaning to you to the end.
Like many clashes in this genre, “nowhere” touches Mia’s tragic backyard, which helps to bring its survival effort into context, and is used effectively in a very scary set in the second half of the film. Yes, if you have seen similar films, then this is probably all of the usual voice, but it is still effective.

The first Act, where we see that a group of MIA and fellow refugees stopped at a military outpost, this is another well -designed sequence. Director Albert Pint ó An officer as an ounce suspension, gradually inspects the container while the invisible traveler holds his breath, praying that he has not been discovered.
To show the ruling government’s brutality, especially the moment of blood -fired violence, but it feels slightly more unnecessary and cheaply. The movie didn’t really have to go They Duration
I would like to have a little more explanation of how the film (imaginary) government came to power. Of course, such an expansion of the film’s dustian future does not mean that he told Mia’s story, but I had the responsible questions, which was a bit unsatisfactory.
In addition, there is a certain amount of story convenience. If you want to enjoy the film full of it, you will need to excuse it. People who like to pick up the plot holes feel themselves tearing themselves in addition to “somewhere”.

Although “anywhere” does not want to restore the genre of survival, it collides with all gender beats with Aplomab. This material, which is trapped in the melodarama, is raised by the castle, and brings the ends to the resulting bitweight.
I am very glad that I browned the Netflix Library and did so in this movie. Fans of any gender there, I encourage you that if you miss the film in 2023, it encourages you to turn back. I do not think you will regret to stream this severe thriller, which shows a powerful desire to protect yourself, which comes to the surface only during and dye conditions.
In a very future view (one that feels dangerously understandable) is a reminder that even at the fastest times, there is always a reason for always continuing, and this is a timely message that resonates now, and I suspect that it will continue for years.
Was not fully sold on “nowhere”, or when did you already stream this movie when you were released in 2023? Then in June 2025, there is a round -up of everything on Netflix, with plenty of fresh choice.
