Google does not do everything or touching it to sleep.

For example: The addition of the new Gameni AI to Gmail is not that it is a breakdown. Although it works surprisingly well when it comes to writing emails and summarizing a thread, the irony is that most of the search indicators are not even helpful.

(Note: I asked Google Raps about my test results and they did not respond.)

I saw the gymnasium icon for the first time for the first time a week ago. He started diving. AI boot is starting to develop with a refreshing for many users, including new search functions, better smart responses, and some inbox clearing indicators.

Before I didn’t work for me, let me just say: I can see where it is all and I am mostly happy with the basic functions, such as smart answers and summary.

I am accustomed to AI to provide some basic support with my email responses, as I have used Chat GPT several times to help write and review emails. Gemini works an ideal. When you want help, you can open a sidebar and enter indicators. On my phone or on the browser, I can also ask Gemini to “polish” my email, adding more details and contexts in seconds.

I really like the summary. In the upper part of the screen, “summarize this email” and a button called Little Star icon for Gemini. You will see a summary with action measures, and in my whole test, Gemini was accurate and helpful. I noticed that I didn’t have to read on the maximum thread and I was used to catch me in the conversation.

    Where things get upset

However, I was not here for smart answers and summary. For the past three years I have been able to do so with other AI boats.

Get quick access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, big deals and helpful points.

I want an AI that gets more than my email – like just tools tools to help understand an email thread. In my Gmail I have about 650,000 emails and this is a treasure that Gemini can easily discover.

I wanted to be able to know who emailed me the most in a particular month, this year I often discussed what topics I often discussed, and I would make a massive email to make people talk the most that I would stay out a few days in June.

Unfortunately, Gemini is badly known as inadequate and returns the wrong results. The results were not correct when I asked the boot to find those people when I was also e -mail this year and May this year.

Gemini entered only two people and I barely had a conversation with them. It is possible that Gemini has just received recent reacts, but I sought all the results of 2025 and May.

When I asked Gemini about these topics when I often discussed these topics, AI was happy that I was only sent to Spam. My gesture was, “I discussed and answered in 2025,” and Gemini filed a group of email newsletters.

It was a mistake, because Gemini was just looking at the emails sent to me, where I was talking.

I also told Gemini that I should write an email to the people with whom I talk the most, telling that I will stay out on June 5-6. Once again, Gemini just found the people who emailed me the most.

Although the boot -containing email was helpful, what I wanted was a heavy lifting boat – writing an email in a blind copy with each person. I just wanted to click on sending.

    And what is broken

Gemini is also considered to help with inbox cleanup duties, but it was mostly missed. I asked Gemini on my iPhone to find old emails with great connection and the boot showed me every email with attachment, not the biggest attachment. And, they were not old email – they were all from the present month.

I also asked Gemini to show me emails with the greatest attachments. For some reason, this gesture did not work. “I can’t help him” was the answer.

He worked on this indicator, though: “Show all emails associated with May 2024.” Then I was able to quickly delete all the messages that were helpful. The problem is that Gemini looked like about about 25 % of the time when I was trying to clear my inbox. This is hit or miss.

I really wanted the boot to understand its goals. Inbox cleanup is okay, though anyone who has used Gmail for a while knows that we have been able to beat our inbox for many years using the search.

For example, I can type “Large: 5m after: 2024/05/24: 2025/05/25” to find more than 5MB of attachment files last year. There is also a filter to help you guide you in this process.

Instead, I wanted Gemin to be like a more smart assistant. More than anything, Gemini only seemed to look for recent emails. In a question, I asked which emails look immediately, and the boot only mentioned two from last week.

I asked which emails were labeled in the emails and the boot got only four, though for the past two months there have been several dozen.

    What does all this mean

Games are in the highest testing phase in Gmail. Google is adding new features and increasing the AI over time, they are collecting on the basis of possibly feedback or date. For now, AI is not really worth it for me, because the results are so unexpected or totally wrong.

I expect this technology to improve, but I will probably be the divers for the divers until it is clear that Gemini will work as expected. I want the boot to make me more fruitful and whenever I type in a prompt, I want to work reliably. We are not clearly there yet.
