Google is adding a temporary chat feature in Gemini. Equipment of the hidden format of the browser, it allows you to get AI chats once. They will not appear in your history, will affect the upcoming chats or not be used for training.
Temporary chats will be saved for 72 hours. Google says it’s time to give you time to revise chat or provide feedback. Today’s feature is about to begin and will continue in the coming weeks.
It reaches along a new setting that does the opposite, vice versa. The Gemini app can now learn from your conversation and remember the details and priorities. Then it can refer them to future chats. (For example, it can remember a hobby that you once mentioned when you later ask for party theme thoughts.)
Google added a feature of past chats in Gemini Advanced earlier this year. Chatgupat and Cloud everyone has the same memory option.
The memory sequence is underway as a default, so you would like to adapt to your privacy settings if you do not want to use it. In the Gemini app, head to Settings> Personal context> Chats of your past with Gemini To change it.

Talking about settings, Google is renaming the toggle to maintain its data. Which was once “Gemini Apps Activity” is now labeled “Keeping activity”. Despite the spiritual change, your previous setting will remain, so you should not need to change it.
Personalized conversation will be launched with Gemini 2.5 Pro in the first “selected countries”. It will make a way to 2.5 flash and more regions in the next week.
