Apple’s Macos Tahao 26 Public Beta is finally available, as well as the same liquid glass design language that is coming to the rest of Apple’s operating system. This is still strange and strangely refreshing. I have been examining the developer beta at an M4 MacBook Air since the WBC in June, and after using it through the latest giant beta release (which is similar to the public), I have had some fluctuations. But, clearly, it has been mostly “mea”.
In my first 24 hours with Tahu developer beta, I was surprised by the liquid glass (the Windows Vista comparison is too high), but I acknowledged that this design could grow on me. Instead, I grew up mostly to ignore it. This parliament has always been in the light for a rare look (though Apple continues to adapt) in the light. I think it has improved slightly compared to the first giant son, but not as good as the outgoing Macos.
1/15Here is a group of many methods that you can customize the shape of the liquid glass of Macos Tahau, starting with light mode and default icons.
I bet most people, whether they are trying a public son for Tahu or wait for full release in the fall, upgrade and think, “That’s fine.” And they will not be wrong. But the flattery of the sectoa, the simple design felt clean and more purpose – and whenever I see or use a Mac that is not on the son, I want to go back. Liquid glass feels frustrated, as Apple was fishing for ways to refresh things for the sake of working Something Hey, all, look at the shiny new UI! No, do not pay attention to how Apple Intelligence still feels how Apple Intelligence still feels.
The biggest advantage of Mac is that there is less liquid glass publication here as there is a lot of breathing. I have been relieved of the Apple Meds Control Center being more ambiguous because the first giant son, especially on the iPhone or iPad, where it is inevitable, is an inappropriate initial work at the control center in the first giant beta. But I don’t care what they do with the Mac Control Center, because I never use it.
Whenever I see or use a Mac that is not on the son I want to go back
On Mac, the control center is only one of the few places where you can access settings like Bluetooth, WiFi, Screen brightness, and audio volume. This is the beauty of a desktop operating system. You have many options to work, including Apple’s strange iOS-eofication, including MacOS, starts in the bug pig, and you can use them how you like. And it includes keyboard ces for functions such as media playback and brightness settings.
But although Apple is making the liquid glass a little better, it is still choosing which makes me weird or out of space. The menu bar remains hidden as default, as like the first giant beta, but it can once again be given a background like the old path (and resorted to killing all transparencyes in no accessory settings). However, when you use the show desktop and clean all your Windows on the side (either with four finger track pad swipes or by clicking on the wallpaper), the menu bar is like a shade below it, even with the menu bar. Completely transparent. It is active, showing desktop borders while your windows are temporarily hidden, but it seems that the shadow is putting.

When you adjust the volume or brightness through the keyboard, the popup in the top right corner is still very high and disconnected from your physical input. It doesn’t look as ugly as he did on the giant son, but old, near the bottom of the screen, the center -linked pop -up was always anchored well (it also works for how Macos has remembered it for him).
I hope Apple will adapt and improve the liquid glass, but for now I just let its moderates wash on me. I now barely pay attention to it. It’s glasses, finally; Something is designed to be hidden and unconscious in real life – to see something Beyond that.
Parts of Macos Tahao that I find most useful and important are spotlight updates and fully baked phone app through your iPhone. The latter is quite simple: the dedicated phone app allows you to call and call your Mac without touching your phone. In the past you can make a call on your Mac, but now you get a complete app that works on iOS, if you are inclined (and actually memorize phone numbers), complete the voicemail and dial number with your keyboard. It has helped me to be a little delayed in calling doctors’ offices, contractors and other businesses, while not completely separate from their work. Generally, I will remove these essential calls, and then the next thing you know about this evening is around 5pm and they are closed for the day.

Spotlight updates is best for shortcuts seiosis. And, clearly, that’s not me. On the PC, I often use Windows key to find and open apps, but on Mac I never used the spotlight so much. But new features in Tahao are forcing me to suppress me. I appreciate the clipboard history. I am slowly making muscle memory for the Command + Space & Command + 4 continuity, which calls the clipboard history. I have read that Ray Cast Tahau’s spotlight is more prominent. For example, the history of the spotlight clipboard only shows things that you copied in the last eight hours, where the date of ray cast can increase by three months or indefinitely if you pin them.

I know that ray cast and other dedicated application launchers can do more detailed and complex, but better spotlight and clipboard is good enough for me – at least, at least. I imagine that Apple can slowly remove these features over time, and it can be a healthy on -ramp for a power user. I want the clipboard history to be stronger in the autumn till the full release of Tahu. However, it is likely that Apple Ray Cast is not like a free wheeling, as the history of a person’s wide clipboard is a dream of the privacy of another person. This is probably the cause of an eight -hour limit.
Now that the public son is gone, many people will be able to try Tahu and see what they think about liquid glass. Thankfully, after the first failure of the battery life in the first giant betas, the clear performance is now normal. But those who are interested in doubling anyone should be aware that the beta is bound to be insects-especially with third party apps. I have seen the signal and some Adobe apps when many white, temporarily look like washed gray (though it is not visible in safe files or screenshots, and some lightroom classical tools such as crops and auto -white balance are not well -packed but always).
If you rely on the same Mac for your daily work, I will wait until the first flavor of the liquid glass is completely released in the fall. A fresh design for a large operating system can feel dynamic, but for Max and Tao, it’s a snoopy for now.
