What do you get when you take the Formula One Engineer and design an electric scooter? I found out for myself when I took the BO Model-M for a test ride in Brooklyn last week.
This new electric scooter has aluminum monocco chassis and a unique steering system that today makes the market unlike any other electric scooter. But how does this $ 2,000 machine compare to the best electric scooter? I went for a ride with CEO Oscar Morgan, who had previously worked for Williams racing, to see how well it handled.

The company is slowly introducing Model M in front of the United States. You can order a base model-which has a speed of 16 miles per hour and has a range of up to 90.990 on the Bo website. A version that has a high speed 22 miles per hour and a 40 -mile range is sold in 4 2,490.

Model-M is also offered in four colors-a little more expensive with all three in the shepherd, gold, black, and chrome. For example, the gold version of the Top and Model M’s gold is 3,399.
This is much more expensive than the best electric scooters, but the company does not intend to release it in large numbers. Every scooter is constructed by hand.
Do not let you think it can’t go faster, developing a modified version of the Bo Scotter that can reach a speed of up to 100 miles per hour. , At 000 30,000, though, it will cost you like a car.
Design

Unlike every other electric scooter, the BO Model-M has a monococcal chassis, which means that the outdoor shell of the scooter itself provides assistance rather than the internal frame.
So, there is no vertical down tube here as you will see with most scooters. Rather, you find an L -shaped that revolves under the deck without interruption and is found without interruption. This is the highest scooter design I have seen since the Anni Model One.
A moving light sits in one -third of the scooter route, with a headlight in the middle of the handle bars.
Due to this design partially, the scooter is not at the bottom, which makes it more suitable for those who have a garage.

There are two small design touchs that I especially like. The first model is MK’s kick stand, which will find you on the motorcycle: it goes down both sides of the scooter, so its surface and more securely, is much higher than the kick stand, which is just one side.

The second feature I loved is a folding loop for a motorcycle lock. These HALF are located on half a way, and are popout so that you can slide the motorcycle lock through the scooter frame, and then add them back to a sleek look. These loops also have a small tab, so you can use them to hang the bag with a scooter when you ride.

Model-ML lacks built-in display. Instead, the handle is a growing bracket in the middle of the bars, which you connect your smartphone, and use the BO app as your dashboard.
Handling

Also, steering is much tough than the traditional scooter – when you change the handle bars from both sides, you feel a lot of resistance, as they automatically return to the center. In some ways, it feels like a steering wheel of your car.
While I didn’t try it, you can ride the scooter with almost one hand, because you do not need to focus on advancing the wheel.
The Model-M 400W (1200W peak) is powered by the Rear Motor, which felt beautiful zipper around the interior of the area around the Brooklyn Navy Yard. I will be interested in seeing how it will rent in the mountain environment.
Nevertheless, it felt a lot of zipper while riding my time. Model-M has two speed settings, so you can keep it at a low speed unless you get used to riding it.
Another conscious design was to present any kind of suspension system on Model-M, and instead rely on its 10 x 2.5-inch pneumatic tire to absorb any collision in the road. It was definitely overwhelming than full suspension scooters such as Seagway Max G3, especially when Brooklyn’s Cobble Stone boarded the streets.
Early comments

There is a lot to like about the BO Model-M. Not only does its design stand through the crowd, but it is also deliberate. I especially like Touchs like Folding Motorcycle Lock.
Although I want to test it further, the steering of the Model-M. is also unlike any other electric scooter in which I have rode, and certainly feels more stable when twisting. It felt more like skiing than scooting. I wish there was some suspension.
At $ 2,000, this is definitely a shop ride, and, as it does not weigh fifty pounds and weighs 50 pounds, I will not recommend for those who live in the walkup apartment. But, if you are looking for a scooter who makes a statement, this is.
