    • YouTube is preparing to update its creator’s minetization policies.
    • The purpose of this change is to prevent the production of revenue from “unhealthy” content.
    • This update can result in fewer content that viewers consider spam.

With the spread of AI tools, the increasing number of YouTube channels is pumping low quality materials, often known as AI slopes. Although this has been a problem for a while, it seems that YouTube is a change that can help maintain the problem.

YouTube is preparing to update its minetization policies for creators. Although the company has not yet updated its YouTube Partner Program (YPP) guidelines, Takkarch Help documents that outline upcoming changes. In particular, this explains that creators need to upload “original” and “authentic” content to make money.

    Refresh has been said:

As part of the YouTube Partner Program (YPP), you have always needed to upload YouTube “original” and “authentic” content. On July 15, 2025, YouTube is updating our guidelines for a better identification of massive and frequent content. This refreshing reflects how the “immoral” content looks nowadays.

This change is implemented on July 15, 2025. To eliminate the concern that it may affect certain types of content, such as the reaction or videos that include clips, the editorial and creative contact YouTube head, Reni Richie, posted a video to make it clear what the change means. Ritchie has explained that this is just a “minor update” for better identification of these content, which is widely developed or repeated, which is incapable of manitization.

If the channels that make this low quality content lose their ability to make money from these videos, it would be less incentive to make such content. As a result, this update can ultimately help YouTube fall on Spam, which is flooding in the platform.
