Last month, Realme announced its flagship GT8 Pro in China with a novel design approach. The back features a removable lens cover that allows for easy customization and different styles, with different colors and material finishes from round to square and robot styles.
Ahead of the GT8 Pro’s global launch, Realme has shared some additional information about the GT8 Pro’s switchable camera bump and its other key design features.
The lens cover on the GT8 Pro is held in place with two screws, allowing users to experiment with different styles. While Realm will offer a first-party camera bump, more tech-savvy users will be able to create their own unique 3D-printed designs.

Realme is also implementing subtle contrasting colors on the “robot-themed” lens module under the camera lens cover for added style.
The switchable camera bump is a boldly different approach. It offers the joy of crafting and the freedom of combination, like building blocks. It’s not just a feature. This is our blueprint for redefining flagship design: diverse, personalized and true to the user. – Chase Xu, CMO and Vice President of Realme
The Realme GT8 Pro will be available in Diary White and Urban Blue colors. In addition to the removable camera bump, the GT8 Pro also brings a new “paper-like” back finish to the Urban Blue variant of the GT8 Pro. Realme implemented a new process that uses recycled plastics and textiles. The back cover also features organic paint and a spray-on organic silicone coating, which it proudly claims is capable of achieving 0.02mm precision engraving.

In addition to the impressive design of the GT8 Pro, Realme confirmed that the same key specs as the China model will be offered globally, including 120W wired and 50W wireless charging and the same 7,000mAh battery with IP66, IP68, and IP69 injury protection. Realme has not yet revealed the exact date for the global launch of the GT8 Pro, but we should get more details in the coming days.
