The OnePlus 15 went official in China last month, and it’s going global on November 13, exactly one week from today. Ahead of the global unveiling, the company shared some more details about the device and its inner workings.
Like the Chinese model, the international OnePlus 15 has a “1.5K” resolution LTPO OLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate, and that combo is an industry first. It should provide “a new level of fluid motion combined with clarity and detail of the retinal surface.”
The display has a high brightness mode of 1,800 nits, and a minimum brightness of 1 NIT. It’s certified for eye care by TVRenland, and includes an eye comfort reminder and a gaming eye comfort mode “that adjusts color saturation to help reduce eye strain”.
The brand promises that you will be able to enjoy 165FPS gaming in Call of Duty: Mobile, Brawl Stars, and Clash of Clans. In other titles, you can apparently expect “industry first at 120 fps gameplay with zero frame drops.”
There’s also a 360-degree cryo-accelerated cooling system, which integrates a 5,731mm 3D vapor chamber for heat dissipation, and an aerospace-derived airgel insulation layer to minimize heat transfer, along with a white graphite back cover for uniform thermal distribution. All of this should make the phone comfortable to touch regardless of what you’re playing and for how long.
The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, paired with a dedicated touch response chip that enables 3,200Hz touch sampling. There’s also a standalone Wi-Fi chip that “maintains a strong, stable connection even in congested network environments”.

Keeping the lights on is the same 7,300mAh silicon nanostack battery that made its debut in the Chinese model, thankfully. It has 15% silicon content, and charges at 120W via wire and 50W wireless. The battery will retain at least 80% of its initial capacity after four years of use and can operate reliably in temperatures as low as -20°C.
Unsurprisingly, the OnePlus 15 will debut with OxygenOS 16 on board, which is based on Android 16. The handset comes with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
