Apple’s long rumor smart home display can eventually be near launch. The latest iOS 18.6 Beta hidden new results shows that Apple is continuing to work on its iPad styling home hub, a device that is designed to control smart devices, support fee time, and potentially ride walls.
As the 9TO5MAC reported, a new Apple logo found in the beta code can provide a hint about the upcoming device’s screen size. The file has been listed under the way/system/library/private frameworks/programui.frameework/and its name is Apple-Logo-1088@2x~Home.png. “~ Home” is particularly noteworthy, as it points to the internal “homo” platform that Apple is preparing for smart home devices.
Apple uses these logo files to match the size of different screens to meet devices. For example, a file called Apple-Logo-2532 is equal to the iPhone 13 and 14, with a resolution 2532 × 1170. Based on this sample of this name, the new 1088@2X asset possibly refers to a screen width of 2176 pixels.
This resolution is like an iPad mini in the same range, with an 8.3 -inch screen with a resolution 2266 × 1488. Although this does not confirm the dimension, it shows that Apple’s incoming smart display may be closer to size – possibly close to 7 to 8 inches.
