Today, Apple announced The latest version of its Mac operating system, Macos Tao, is playing a handful of new features and apps. However, the update will also mark the final featured version of the MacOS, which will help Intel -based Macs.
The finalized Intel -based Max that will receive Macos Tahao includes the following models: MacBook Pro (16 inches, 2019), MacBook Pro (13 inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports), IMAC (27 inch, 2020) and Mac Pro (2019). This means that if you own one of these Maxes, you will have access to all the features in the update at the end of this fall when Macos Taha will launch. The only exception is that nothing will be available on Apple intelligence, as these features are limited to Apple Silicon machines.
It has been five years since the start of the transfer from Intel to the Apple Silicon. At the time, Apple said it would “support and continue to support and continue the new version of MacCos for Intel -based Max for years to come.” Intel -based Max, over the age of 2019, has already stopped receiving software updates, and now it is time to remove the last generation of the model.
Fortunately, Apple will provide security upgrades for three more years for these Intel -based Max. It is very solid for machines that are already more than five years old.
I have been recommending for years against buyers who buy Intel -based Mac. From Intel Max to the early M1 Max, jumping has a huge leap in terms of performance and battery life, though I am sure that some people will be seduced by Intel Max’s most inexcusable prices in recent years. Now we certainly know where the end of the road is, which is hopeful that some people will at least agree to buy M1 -MacBook Air.
The company’s emulsion layer to run non -local apps on the Apple Apple Silicon will also be wrapped in Rosta. This was the key to the initial success of Apple’s own chips. Older games will be available only by LP, Apple’s software provided by Macos 26 and MacOS 27. More than anything, this is another way for Apple to encourage developers to remove their apps to run on Apple Silicon locally.
