    Recently an artificial intelligence (AI) sovereign drone emerged in a kind of AI vs. Human drone racing event. The competition was hosted by the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League (A2RL) in collaboration with The Drone Champions League (DCL), as part of the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) as part of the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League (A2RL). The two -day event, which has been witnessed by several countries, was held in Ednic Marina Hall, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The winning AI drone belonged to Maolab (TU Delift), based in the Netherlands, won two other races in the event.

For the final week, more than 14 international teams qualified, and the top four proceeded to compete in four different races.

    The partners include teams from the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, Austria, South Korea, the Czech Republic, Mexico, Turkey, China, Spain, Canada and the United States.     According to the press release, each team brought a standard drone equipped with the NVIDIA Jettin NX Computing module, a forward -facing camera, and an inert measurement unit (IMU). These drones completely rely on the real -time processing of video footage, video footage and AI -powered decision -making. A2RL developed a complex race at a complex races where drones can reach more than 150 km per hour.

    Maolab (To Delift) won the AI ​​Grand Challenge after setting the fastest time in the 170 -meter course, completing two lap (22 gates) in 17 seconds. The AI ​​drone also defeated a high human pilot in the AI ​​vs human race. Moreover, the team also claimed to win the AI-only drag race.

    On the other hand, TII racing won a multi -drone format, where all the finalists continued to run at the same time.
