    Calvin Wankheed / Android Authority

It seems that privacy becomes a big deal every year as the growing number of people’s data does not cool down with becoming a commodity. Protone Mail Portports – Unlike Google, to offer more privacy than Gmail, even the proton team cannot take a look at your inbox. Thus, the privacy users should go to the Proton Mail, okay? We were interested in knowing, so we polled our readers.

For Android AuthorityCalvin Wankhede, it was not so easy. He tried to transform Gmail from Gmail to Protone Mail for better privacy but found the trade office very disappointing. Proton ends from the end only work only when both sides use it, which is still relatively unusual. The Android app also lacks standard features such as formatting and swipe navigation. With just 1GB of free storage and key features that are locked behind the pay wall, Calvin decided that it was not disturbing. Now he is back in using Gmail.

Calvin included our survey in our article, so let’s find out if you agree.

Will you use a proton mail instead of gmail?

The aforementioned chart shows that you will accept more commercial relations than Calvin. About 73 73 % of you said that you would use the proton mail instead of Gmail, more than half of them have said they will pay it. Less than 27 % of you said that you are happy with Gmail.

The really interesting thing about these results is that when a member of our team offers their opinion about a product or service and then adds a poll, our readers do not rarely agree with the overall response. This shows that the hot button problem is confidential in 2025, and Google wants to take notes.

We have also included the pool in a more neutral article about this issue. However, in the Calvin piece, many people pushed back into the comments section. The one -time the theme was a disappointment, which readers at the end of the end saw the misunderstanding of the encryption. Barry pointed out, “You complain that both sides need a proton … then say (you use) signal or WhatsApp,” said Barry.

In defense of Calvin, an important difference is that you can’t send a signal or WhatsApp message to another messaging service, so you will know that whatever you send is someone with the same encryption protocol. This is not the case with email.

Other commentators highlighted the practical reasons for staying with the proton. One user said that during the 30 months, his 99 3.99/month -long proton bundle saved them for email, VPN, and cloud storage, which they felt that it was a “competitive price”. Another described Proton Sweet as a smart business investment, especially when multiple privacy services are strengthened into a subscription. Nevertheless, some people agreed to the results of the article, citing similar frustrations or limited issues for the encrypted email.
