In the last fall, Lajtic CEO Hannik Faber was jokingly joking after suggesting that the company would like to create a “mouse forever”. It seems that it deceives the lack of understanding: Many people who buy mice don’t want software ExactlyVery few software they have to pay. The idea they will pay Every month Is funny.

But when I am sitting here with a very good logic mouse, which I am now owned by the best, I am starting to think that no “mouse” will not be so bad. Lajtic has an opportunity and responsibility to keep my mice longer, and I have some part of the evidence under my palm. I use a huge mouse that slowly disperses.

In some ways, my wireless logistics G502 lights speed already is the mouse forever. I never need to recharge or replace its battery, as I automatically use the Lodge Wireless charging mouse pad to keep my battery on the perfect level. I have not plugged this mouse once in about three and a half years.

Fortunately, the mouse buttons and sensors have maintained well in the same period as far as I can tell. But a soft rubber grip that lets me hold the gadget? After just a few years of use, they are reaching the end. They have fallen down, so rotate and colored that I can’t easily clean them. The worst thing is that a grip is ending with the mouse frame and has begun to sneak. Whenever I catch the mouse, it becomes restless under my thumb.

There is a clear solution to this: Logitic should sell alternative mouse parts. Even the company claims that it sells the mouse parts repair site through IFIXIT. Here is a quote from the Lajtic Chief Operating Officer, Prakash Arkondram, in a IFIXIT Press Release: “Ordinary clothing and tears are indispensable, which is why we try to make it easy for people to access the LOG logic replacement parts of our devices.”

But to this day, the logic does not actually sell the parts that will solve the “wear and tears”.

It is Complete List the parts that you can buy for the logic mouse.

    • $ 10 for a set of SC screws
    • $ 15 for a set of mouse skates
    • $ 20 for a battery

Do not misunderstand me, it is refreshing to see the official parts in the open market. But these are not the parts that I, or anyone who wants to repair the Logotek mouse, really needs it.

We need grip. Button shells mouse wheels. And better, microsoch assemblies. These are the things we wear over time. Lodge and iFixit are also selling only three different types of mouse batteries. If you have a dying logic G900 mouse battery, like my wife, I don’t have a part in IFIXIT.

Months ago, I reached both Logitic and IFixit to find out that because the part of the part was so thin, but I didn’t get too far. Lajtic refused StuffyIt did not want to talk to the interview about the repair strategy, and IFIXIT.

Through spokesman Lily Lewis, what Logitic said is here:

Yes, in the future, IFIXIT as well as IFIXIT -assisted products as well as additional replacement sections for new products. We actively discover and evaluate the other important repair components (such as switches, buttons, and scroll wheels) based on geographical and compliance requirements.

IFIXIT CEO Kill Venus told me:

Logitic is quite responsible for what people are asking for. If people are special parts that people want, please speak! We will work to increase the choice.

I told them both that for now, I need to easily hold. After several months, the share of the logistics has not been extended. I have never received changes (though Amazon will happily sell me some grip tape).

I can’t even imagine to replace the entire $ 100 mouse on two pieces of rubber. If I have to do, I will probably not pick up the logistics again. The peeling rubber coating is just because I had to stop using my dear Lajtic MX518 a decade ago. I do not expect that mice will really be always forever, but I think sending a message to the world’s leading periphery maker is worth noting that you cannot make disposable products when they are repaired.

How much loyalty could the Lajtic affect if its rats were really repaired? If this word is finished, how many more mice can sell – like Lajtic’s legendary C920 webcam – they were the last time made? That if you buy a logic, you Do not Have a device in the trash that fits you like a glove, Do not Have a slightly different forms of the mouse to continue training your own hand? What if, at least, Lajtic shared 3D printer files as Philips had just done with shavers, so can we print our buttons and grips?

Or does the Lajtic profit rely on people that good good good mice crushed people just because they are starting to get overall, I wonder? I hate thinking. (The company does not say financial talk.)

Thankfully, Lajtic now has a way to prove this idea wrong. Forever mouse, but forget the subscription; Hug the idea that mice should Conclusive.
