The small phone market may be on its last legs, but a select few are still compact flagships. It may only be a matter of time before we have the first, but for now enjoy the compact phone while there are still some around.
It’s the Vivo X300, and it might just be a member of another exclusive group — compact flagships that are actually available outside of China. Although Vivo has yet to confirm its exact plans the existence of a global ROM and promises that the X300 series will be the most available in the company’s history.
Looking at the X300 next to the larger X300 Pro gives you a good idea of how small the Non-Pro is. At 6.31 inches on the front and 8mm in profile, the X300 is a beautiful thing to handle. This too is exactly at 190 grams.
The smaller phone shares most of the features of the X300 Pro, though the camera island has a distinctive, fluid sloping edge. Camera Island has very few shores.

Vivo X300 and X300 Pro side by side
Speaking of which, the cameras on the X300 are a step down from the Pro, but you’re still getting a premium system. We’ll give them a full test once we get our hands on them (it’s a long line of devices at the moment), but a 200MP main shooter, 50MP 3x zoom, and 15mm autofocusing ultrawide sound great on paper.
We’re also fans of the X200 Ultra’s switch to our favorite 50MP selfie camera.

Let’s wrap things up with an unboxing. Vivo X300 ships with a better package than the Pro! You also get a color-matched case, a USB-A to USB-C cable, and a 90W charger!
