If the DJI 360 degree action camera is entering the market, why should Insta 360 not be in the drone? It was my immediate thinking when the company announced its first drone, A1 from the spin of brand and antigery team.
So, what is A1? Is this entry level device? A camera for creators who wants to spice their videos without years of practice? A competitive POV drone? This is a bit of the three, but Antigravity A1 is not just a drone. It will eventually launch in a set of three parts: flying unit, OLED Vision Gogs and a dedicated grip motion controller.
In its current form, anti -gravity A1 weighs about 249 grams (8.8 ounces), which in most areas helps to surround the requirements of the drone license. (Since this is a pre -production model, it can change a bit before colliding with the retail.) Two ultra -wide cameras stand on the roof and under the drone instead of the front. It is like an Insta -360 X5 camera that has some kind of cocaine for anti -gravity A1.

With these two camera units, the A1 can occupy the video in the 8K resolution, which is spread from the drone’s point of view in the canvas. With the sewing algorithm that the company has improved more than five generations of 360 degree cameras, it should result in most smooth footage where A1 never stops this scenario. The drone itself will not show in your video. It is like the company’s “invisible” selfie stick, but, well, in the sky.
A1 is the opposite of any other drone with which I played. Naturally, it included high -speed cars, wet conditions and some closer.
Thanks to working in the enzyg, I am a drone doubler, but Anti -gravity A1 has a different experience from the beginning. Controlling A1 involves straping fellow springs and adding it from a first personal point of view, adding controller to the hand. However, unlike other FPV drones, you can see (and move) wherever you want.
About 15 minutes of flying time (you can see highlights here), I found out that this was a wonderful intuitive experience. With another FPV drone, your view is closed to the camera. Certainly, you can rotate the rival drone to see elsewhere, such as the DJI’s Otha, but it’s not the same. Because A1 has continued the 360 degree video in the springs, bending your head will never affect its direction. Instead, you will only see what is around the drone as it flys, which makes the drone more intuitive for pilots. Better, you can rotate and rotate somewhere else-like video game control for the first person’s shooter.
This freedom of movement is raised by a unique A1 controller, described as a mixture between the traditional drone controller and the veme. Although some physical buttons and dial height adjust, video recording and much more start/stop, steering includes a point and click method. When you move your hand to the right, a retical gigs appears on the display. Then suppressing the trigger will cause the A1 to shoot in that direction, the process called anti -gravity -free motion control.
As I mentioned, it means I don’t need to see where I am going – though it is better if I do to avoid accidents (or collision with expensive Mercedes). If you are interested in FPV drones, this is an easy experience that makes it feel free. You can see wherever you want, don’t see where the camera is identified on the other drone. I also think that I can fly friends and family around A1 with minimal training. Speaking of fans, Insta 360 included a smart touch for them: the springs have an outer screen so that the spectators can see what is happening. No one else is able to see anyone else to watch their POV without blowing a drone.

A1 is a zipper small drone, dominant. Thanks to its low weight. But even in this pre -production phase, the resulting video looks better than what I thought about. In addition, if you are looking for action -filled shots, it offers a lot of skills.
After I experienced A1, antigity sent me his video from the drone, so I was about to repair, crop and replace footage. You can even use the same 10 seconds and the frame (or crop) to three very different angles. For example, you can remove a car tracking shot, drone pilot zoom in shot or only Germany’s blue skies from a clip. This is an interesting part here.
Insta -360 had in the past made excellent modification tools (mobile and desktops) for its cameras, and it plans to do the same for its first drone. The initial version of the software was not without his hiccups, but once I learned that the frame of the drone anchor anchor was easy to edit. After that I could add several key frames simultaneously, I want to keep the tagging object in the frame or track. Editing my footage began to enjoy the strangeness, and I have Never Enjoyed this work.
Another feature that the company emphasizes is to detect payloads. Although the exact weight limit is still being improved through further testing, antigity says that if the drone detects that he is not doing anything, A1 will not be able to fly. Some sunglasses are still an issue as drone work is underway.
