You would like to think twice before you put a lot of stock in the latest tension chart to wear your fitness. A recent study by the Netherlands Laden University published in the Journal of Psychopathology and Clinical Science has revealed that when smart watchs and similar devices record stress, fatigue or sleep -related readings, they often make it wrong.

Researchers studied 800 young adults using the same Garman Vivosmart 4 Smart Watch model. They compared the data of the smart watches produced with the reports that consumers created four times daily on how they sleep or put pressure. The lead author and associate professor Eco Freud said that the wear was integrated between data and user -produced data, “mainly zero.”

The German representative did not immediately respond to the request to comment.

Stress or sex? Your watch does not know

So why is it so wrong to wear like fitness smart watchs? Their sensors are quite limited to what they can do. Clocks like these need to be wearing properly (for example a loose or hard clockwise readings), and they usually use basic information such as plus rates and transportation to estimate health.

Those estimates do not always reflect the scenario of the real world. One can indicate high stress of wearing when the real reason for the change was a workout, gospel or excitement on sex. There are many potential alternatives to stress or fatigue that the watches in the study never really were correct – and the devices sometimes estimated the complete anti -emotional state by recording consumers.

Dutch studies noted that Garaman’s physical battery readings, which especially measure physical fatigue, were more reliable than stress indicators, but is still wrong. And sleep sensing performed the best of all of them, Garman watches show two -thirds of the opportunity to note the differences between good night sleep and bad.

It is also worth noting that smart watch sensors can be more accurate as technology improves. It would be interesting to study similarly with the most modern Garman Vivosmart 5 to see if something had improved, as well as to see if other models, such as the latest version of Apple Watch, have similar accuracy.
