India has been a very important battlefield for the world’s top smartphone vendors for many years, and the latest regional sales report presented by the International Data Corporation (IDC) has provided quite interesting and some contradictory results for many major mobile hardware brands. They have been liked by Vivo, Samsung, Apple, Oppo, Motorola, Xumi, and Winpalus. It is difficult to name the region’s biggest winner in the region a few weeks ago when we discussed these numbers published by Counterpoint Research a few weeks ago, or the largest defeat from April to June this year.

Apple is much lower in the rows than you expect

If you are the least familiar with the Indian smartphone market, you will probably already know that iPhones are not so popular with such cheap Android devices. But I bet you did not expect you to see Apple in addition to Vivo, Samsung, Oppo, Relmi and Xiaomi through Motorola.

That’s right, the Caprinto -based Tech Dev is only India’s seventh largest smartphone vendor, increasing its market share from 6.7 % to 7.5 % during the April -June quarter last year, and its sales improve by 19.7 %.

Q2 was the first in 2024, and is still India’s largest smartphone vendor.

Surprisingly, Coffee, Motorola managed to collide with his second quarter score between 2024 and 2025 at 39.4 %, and even more incredible, there were at least two brands that registered major growth in the same period. Specifically, 84.9 % of the country (which is still not one of the ten shopkeepers in the country), and for IQOO for 68.4 % (which is behind Apple and Poko and One Plus eight)).

One Plus, keeping in mind you, registered the highest reduction between your Q2 2024 and Q2 2025 shipment scores in India, followed by 39.4 % painful after Poko and Xiaomi.

All of all, the IDC estimates that Q2 sales have increased to 7.3 % of the healthy over the previous year, but if you add the number to the previous quarter, you get 70 million for the first six months of 2025, which is only 0.9 % larger than the market’s H1 2024. Of course, no progress is better than any progress, but in the rest of the 2025, the country’s annual growth will be “limited” after the minor 2024 of 2024.

Samsung gets the crown of super premium, while Apple has to settle for a premium title

What is the difference between “Premium” and “Super Premium” classes? The price of a phone, of course, costs more than $ 800 in the previous category between $ 600 and $ 800 anywhere between $ 800 and $ 800.

Surprisingly, (or not), it means that Samsung has the most successful smartphones in India, which undoubtedly heads the head through the latest Galaxy S25 Ultra. Before dancing in front of his iPhone -loving friends and enemies, however, the Galaxy Ephesians should know that his favorite brand of Apple in India’s Super Premium Division had the advantage of his favorite brand. Almost Not equal, 49 to 48 percent of the market share.

These are some very interesting fluctuations for almost all the big brands … besides Vivo.

Meanwhile, Apple’s lead over … The “standard” premiums were very large, as the “Vanila” came together to calculate the delivery of more than 60 % of the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 15 categories. Also, it was about 100 % of all categories of market growing so far.

Of course, the “mass budget” and “entry premium” classes are easily in the largest flag at 42 and 27 % shares respectively, and clearly Apple is not dominated in these categories. Instead, Vivo continues to sell the largest smartphones between $ 100 and $ 400 in India, followed by OPPO and Samsung. This describes the supremacy of Vivo’s overall market, as well as the failure to break the group of Apple’s first five shopkeepers, first leave the three.
