Stranger: land From a series with “Allen” in the title provides everything you want: The famous Zenomorphs hunt unconscious humans. The body’s physical panic; And Androids that you can never trust. But the author/director Noah Holi (Lashkar, Fargo) And his team also manages to push the franchise to new heights, and look for philosophical questions that are from Radley Scott. Promotis And Angry pledge Could not completely discover. It’s not just a stranger TV show – it’s a careful experience that raises the entire franchise more than recent. Allen: Romales.
This series, which is premiere on FX and Holo today, occurs two years ago Stranger. It begins with familiarity: a group of astronauts who awaken from a crewslip on a retro photostream Valley Shipping vessel. We learn that they are carrying valuable extraordinary cargo, which is expected to break loose and destroy the ship. Meanwhile, on the ground (somewhere we have not seen in the franchise at all), we are introducing a primarily sick baby who is undergoing a basic new method: uploading his brain into artificial body (Sydney Chandler played).
This baby names Wendy – one of the many references to Peter Pan in the series – and he has embraced his new (and more solid) robotic body as a child. Instead of just being a weak child, she becomes amazingly stronger, which has the ability to jump down safely with rapid anxiety and large heights. It’s like she has become a mobile phone heroine ALA Battle Angel Elta (At one point, she just looks strap on a sword like Katana because it looks bad).
Wendy is not a human, but he is not Android tomorrow or his personality and memories are uploaded from the human brain. That’s something new. She becomes a kind of old siblings for other sick children who are undergoing the same human artificial hybridization process, and they make their spin on the lost boys (including some girls) together. Even they go to name Peter Pan’s characters (a child, unfortunately, is caught in the name of Sami, after Captain Hook’s cowardly lock). And for its creator, for the Head Boy Cavalier (Samuel Blankin) of the Produced Corporation, they are the key to the future where people can deceive death and practice in practice in artificial bodies forever.
A stranger -filled ship eliminated the crash landing in the cities of Southeast Asia (in this universe, five mega corporations run the world, the Nation states no longer exist), and the Boy Cavalier has negligently determined to test its new hybrid superstium. He has found a survivor, Moro (Babu Sisi), a loyal security officer with an ugly robotic arm, as well as a classic zenomorph and several new generations. I won’t do much bad about them here, but I have a feeling that the dastardly Multi -e -Ball parasitic will quickly become fans’ favorite.
Stranger: land Finally, we drown in the elements of the franchise, only indicators can be found in the movies. We see how the corporate run looks like a completely corporate run, and it is as total as you will imagine. As usual, Wellland Yotani prefers the treasures of his extraordinary treasure over the lives of his workers. But the boy is even more ill with the cavalry – such an unpleasant tech brother who puts his bare feet on the desk during the meetings. Do not object to the lives of hundreds (and possibly thousands) in your own city, or inherent risks to bringing deadly alien creatures into their research lab.
Timothy Olift as a crush.

This series is excellent when films are questioned by films about the nature of human beings (with less or more breadth). And where do new hybrids come from, which connect human memory and emotion with artificial bodies, which are somewhat infinite? In many ways, Stranger: land Like Scott’s films, the value of humanity for the world seems to be exactly what it seems. Humans will sacrifice countless lives for greed – the planet may really be better without us.
With PromotisThe purpose of Radley Scott is to try to try to meet human beings with their creator, and it may be more likely to be artificial (such as Michael Fascander’s David). But the broader topics were reduced to weak script (and what I have heard, because of his intervention in the Scott story). Allen: The covenant It was less memorable. Both films were in need of being a big budget blockbusters-they could not be slow for a long time to not let the audience think, rather than hurrying on the next seat piece. The eight episodes made for the streaming network do not have to play according to the same rules.
Babu Sisi in Allen tomorrow as: Earth.
(Patrick Brown/FX)
Even if you do not want to engage with big ideas, though, Stranger: land The embarrassment of wealth remains. It has not only Zenomorphs to eliminate their victims, completely new ways for extraordinary foreign ways. It is full of terrific performances throughout the board – Sydney Chandler, who has a wendy fast energy more than his Peter Pan, is a standout. Babu Sisi’s tomorrow is clearly an opponent, but it is heartbreaking to see what he gives to become a duty to become a corporate underlings. (His robotic arm can also flog the sick vulvin -shaped blade. How can you not love it?!)
Fans of the Great Timothy Olift (JustificationFor, for, for,. Deadwood) The head of the Boy Cavalier’s artificial security will definitely appreciate his performance as a crush. We do not find the living heart of the Olyfant that we saw JustificationBut it is very entertaining to see the humiliation of all humans (including his own master) under the surface.
I would admit, I suspected that Noah could provide Holi decent Stranger TV series. Legion In my opinion all styles and no substances, and when I had enjoyed the first few seasons FargoThe end of his race was uneven. But with Stranger: landHe has made something special. This is not a thematic upgrade Ander Was for Star WarsBut this is a sign that the old alien franchise still has enough life.
