    • The Android auto screen in your car can soon display more app columns, which makes the app discover easier and faster.
    • We managed to land at the level of seven app columns in a sequence that supported at least five columns.
    • The app column you see on your Android auto screen will depend on the size of your car display.

Android Auto’s app drawer sometimes looks a little tight. Depending on the size of your car display, you will usually see four or five app columns in the app drawer. This means that if you install many Android auto apps, searching for a specific app often includes scrolling on numerous pages, which is not ideal for trying to pay attention to the road. It is only natural that more apps displayed on the screen, you have to spend less time in scrolling to find a app. It seems that Google knows it all well and is working on a change that will help reduce the search for apps on your car screen.

Rotating in Android Auto App (Version 15.0.653204 Release), we discovered that Google can soon increase the number of apps you can see at a glance.

With a little tonkering, we have been able to display a latest grid layout that can display up to seven app columns instead of five, which is the maximum number of app columns that can be seen on the Android auto screen right now.

Extended Android Auto App drawerExtended Android Auto App drawer

Although the column you see on your Android auto screen will depend on the size of your car display, but we managed to land at the surface of seven columns with immediate control (music and call shortcut). So before that, if your Android auto -headed unit has shown five columns, it may soon be able to show six or seven columns instead.

The extended grid looks like the types of various Android auto layouts, though instant controls are not available everywhere. In one of our tests, a sequence that pulled out more and more in five columns without any change, jumped to seven after activating the hidden settings.

Although there is no word that Google will officially release the extended Android auto app grid, this change can make browsing faster and less disturbing to drivers, especially on a large -scale display.
