Harmony is the feature of the latest photoshop son. Described by the photo harmony process, this device helps a project without interruptions naturally mixing items in the background and meeting a project. Photoshop users suffered to peek at the device when it was just a research concept at the last fall Adobe Max Creator Conference. At that time, I talked to Adobe Applied Research Scientist Mengvi Ryan, one of the central engineers of the project, about what the device has the potential for photoshop users. Stephen Nelson, senior director of Photoshop’s Product Management, told CNET that faster, smooth composing is something that the Adobe team has been working for for almost a decade. Pre -working work to improve the electoral and background removal tools is the basis for harmony. Generative AI technology helped pull all different pieces of puzzle together and quickly use people.
Nelson said, “Most people talk about something poor photoshop, and many have to do with how well you match with lighting, color tones and shadows. It really makes it very fast, efficient and easy to get a good comprehensive.”
Like any beta toll, especially with AI, harmony is not perfect. Future work will focus on maintaining high levels of quality when used on more complex objects like human faces. Nelson said, “Protecting faces is” the most difficult thing to solve, “and will be an area of constant research.
“Expectations, especially from supporters, have commercial results. In many cases, you can get it, depending on the assets you are connecting with harmony. “We know that there are some (use matters) we need to improve and improve.”

Photoshop AI in 2025
Harmony is the latest step in Photoshop’s long AI journey. Two other general AI changes coming to Photoshop users are a new generative upscling tool and upgrades its generative removal feature. Optcling is a common productive AI process that improves the current image, such as adding clear and better details. In this case, Photoshop Toll promises to increase the image resolution to 8 megapixels. More pixels mean that your imagery should be sharp and clear.
Eliminating the newly updated removal tool should be more precise when choosing objects items, and the affected area should be met with more harmony with the cleaner final amendment.
Nelson said the goal of adding AI to Photoshop is to increase human editors’ work, not change. But many creators are worried about the development and deployment of Generative A, from the alleged copyright violations during the model training to the AI slap that filling online places and employment problems.
