When Apple announced the feature of an AI -powered, an AI -powered, Buddy, to get you through your workout, I issued a hearing, knowing that I would have to write this article.
On paper, this is the kind of thing I hate-an excessive emotional robotic sound, registrating statistics I have already seen on my walking watch.
I am a kind of person who likes to run alone – my time is the time to escape, dumped and set up my mind. I have completed five marathons, and have trained for them all. I fully expected to hate the Buddy of Exercises, but I downloaded the Wachos 26 beta on my Apple Watch Series 10 (here your Apple Watch 26 beta), and ran up to 15 miles. The results surprised me.
You can like
It does not disrupt your workout
I passed my new exercise friend at its pace, I scored several different runs in two days-a simple run of 7 miles a day, followed by a 6-mile tempo session and next 2 miles recovered. The tempo session was built as a custom workout on my Apple Watch.
Except for the Tempo session, each run started with workout Buddy’s “Pep Talk”, which will run how many miles it will run this week or my current series of closing my thumbs, as well as “Great job starting your run!” And “You’re crushing it!” After that, every mail, exercise friend, my average speed for the mail, my heartbeat, and what I was listening to.
At the end of the run, he gave me a summary of my workout, leaving me the tempo run. During a customer exercise, the exercise did not work – instead, during the workouts and recovery stages, I was reminding me to change the speed. Maybe this is something I didn’t togel in the settings, or maybe they Used to Exercise friend, but all the “good job” messaging ended.
Like all AI, its rates are
Apple is not the first brand to add AI to its fitness trackers – we have seen it from Hope, Garman, Aura, Strava and Samsung. Yet, like every other brand in the market, Apple’s AI is not a foolproof. On a run, the workout Buddy told me how many Minute I will run this year – definitely, running something like 4,000 minutes is a success, but this is not a milestone I have ever traced.
Another thing to note is that to use a workout friend, you have to keep your iPhone with you, and not all iPhones are compatible. Your iPhone must have an Apple Intelligence to use the exercise friend, so you will need the iPhone 15 Pro/ iPhone 15 Pro Max, or iPhone 16.
To be really useful iT, it needs to work more
Although I did not hate the exercise friend as much as I was expecting, like all these AI fitness features, it is really useful to be useful, it needs to work more.
Apple has made a mistake with excessive positive accents, but what I want is to tell me that the last representative was slow, so I need to dig to strengthen the exercise. Of course, Apple will probably never do this, because they don’t want to take the risk of injuring people, but even if it was messaging “this last mail was slow, but this week’s training burden has increased by 60 %”, or “you are slow but you are going to the hill. Your grade is already adjusted.
It is worth considering, this is the beta version of the Wachos 26, and often Apple overtakes the things that agree with the potential release of new watches this fall. What I hope to see is AI that is as smart with you. If your exercise friend can remember your last run on a particular path, and tells you when to come in front of the hills, or how your current performance can be compared, it can be more helpful.
What’s more, if Apple, if most of the best Garam -e -watches have been done for years, may consider your current week’s training load, and how well you sleep at night before, and suggest exercise for you, which can give a lot of training and this tool can be increased. In addition, prevent you from exceeding and lifting an injury that can prevent you from starting.

Apple has always been behind its competitors in coaching, recovery, and lack of training features, but exercise Buddy seems to indicate what’s coming.
I don’t think for a second that exercise friend can replace real -life coaches, but I always performed best when I forced me to work hard, didn’t congratulate me on getting out of the door. That is why some Pelutin instructors have become domestic names – they just don’t hold your hand, they put pressure on you to get you. Perhaps Apple can follow the URA lead and give users to subscribe to different AI personnel, so you can choose a coach that is right for you.
I only hope that when exercise, when the Buddy eliminates this fall, her personality is a bit puncture, as it has the ability to become a useful tool for stakeholders.
