Like the modest standard of display, the touchpad is instead. I have used worse, but its plastic surface is not as smooth and responsible as glasses. The click mechanism is high and need a lot of effort to suppress it. It’s also loose, so you can depress the touchpad without registering a click. It’s all common in cheap laptops, and over time, this is something I think I can make a habit. But when you jump back to another premium, you will feel great. The keyboard is not so painful, but the keys feel more square than their choice. I have no objection to the structure on the KE caps.
The port is a solid selection, which includes HDMI 1.4, USB-A 3.2, USB-C 3.2, a USB-C port for charging, and a headphone jack. It’s well rounded, but there is a problem: they are all aside. You will only get the Kansantin Lock Slot to the right of the device. Unfortunately, that means you can only charge a laptop from the left.
Just enough power

There are now two versions of Asus Chromebook CX14. My review unit was a more expensive layout, which comes with everything – fastest CPU, doubled RAM (8GB), and double storage (128 GB). The processor core is 3 series 1, otherwise known as Intel Core 3 N355. This is an interesting chip, which has only eight performances used and compared to the traditional dual -core setup of silver chips, only eight performance covers and no performance covers.
There is nothing to write the performance home, though it was 38 % faster in the speedometer 3.1 benchmark, compared to the Asus Chromebook CX15 based in Selon, which I tested last month. This means that web applications feel a bit snapper and more responsive, especially when you are running a lot at the same time. It is difficult to discuss the price of this affordable setting (especially when it is on sale), but if you plan to use CX14 for active work or study, you will appreciate the promotion of performance and additional storage.
ASUS claims that CX14 continues for eight hours on charge. In my tests, it lasts for this long time. Keeping in mind, it’s on a local video playback with a screen on 100 luxes – not heavy loads at all. The use of my normal working day reduced it slightly, and I certainly needed a recharge in the day. So, it is nowhere to be long like Lenovo Chrome Book Plus 14, nor is it compared to more premium laptops like MacBook air or surface laptops. But the laptop of this price, it is decent.
