Google says it will sign the EU’s new AI Code of Practice, which provides a framework to comply with the EU’s AI Act. The Act itself was approved in 2024, but it will take months to years to implement many of its provisions. Non -bound code of conduct is a voluntary move that aims to ensure that companies usually fulfill the responsibilities laid down by the Act.

In a blog post announcing Google’s participation, Tech Dev shared some doubts about the impact of the AI Act on technology in the European Union. The statement is partially written, “While the final version of the Code of Conduct comes close to supporting Europe’s innovation and economic goals, it began – and we appreciate the opportunity that we have been provided to offer – we are concerned that the AI is the risk of developing AI and AI.”

Recently, Meta said she would not sign the Code of Conduct. The company’s chief global Affairs Officer, Joel Kapilin, described the code as “more juice”. In a statement, Kapilin said, “Europe is on the wrong path.”

The European Union’s AI Act is the first of its kind by a major regulator and is comprehensive in its point of view. Meanwhile, the United States is in the early stages of determining its approach to the AI regulation.

Under the European Union’s AI Act, the dues are being implemented in a surprising way, though the rules that rule the general proposal AI (GPAI) models will be implemented on August 2, 2025. Earlier, any model brought to the market should be fully complying with the rules by August 2, 2027. Implementation and implementation measures about August 2031 up to 2031.
