Macos looks 26 sleeves and smooth – Windows 11? Not so much
One of the biggest changes in Macos 26 is the design of a new liquid glass, which smooth experience with other Apple devices. Now, dock, sidebers and tool bars have been re -designed and the same prophetic aesthetic has been highlighted.
Thanks to this new form, things have been shown without clutter showing more material on the screen. There are also round elements and dimensions, which make the OS more modern. You can customize the control center in the same way as you can on the iPhone.
You also have to choose between dark and light mode, a clean icon, and a dock theme, and you can also customize the folder icons.
On the other hand, Windows 11 feels slightly nervous and nasty. The look of the liquid glass on the Mac manages to feel more modern and colorful than it, while on Windows 11, each element has its own appearance.
Yes, you can set the dark/light and then change a significant color and the entire system, but we have this legacy menu, the way Windows is designed (to the extent above the old version of the same OS). These legacy menu look completely different with a new order.
In my opinion, there are a lot of windows going on at the same time, and I sometimes sink into all the differences of forced colors and shadows.
Macos 26 gets a phone app – making calls feel easier than Windows 11

McCows brings 26 phone apps to Mac. This allows more organized experience between your iPhone and MacBook. You can access recent calls and contacts compatible with your iPhone, and make calls. It also includes new iOS 26 features on Mac and call screening, which makes things so easier.
Windows 11 you have the option to install the phone link app, and the contact between your laptop and the phone is made through Bluetooth. Of course, you can ensure ease, enable 2 FA, link the phone to your account, login more than once on both the phone and the app (and hope you will not finish anything time when doing so) and connect the devices through Bluetooth. Or use a cable and hope that the cable will do what Windows wants to do.
The phone app on Mac is easier. You need to sign your i -cloud account on both devices and balm, your Mac is connected to your iPhone, it’s really easy. In some instances, you may need to allow “calls on other devices” on your iPhone, but if you are already using your Mac to get calls from your iPhone, you will not need to specifically enable the phone app specifically.
Compared to the simplicity of the phone app on Mac, Windows’ tech is a burdensome process. This is certainly not smooth.
