With iOS 26, Apple has been introducing its largest design update for more than a decade. Leading this over hall is a new liquid glass interface that adds to the on -screen elements on the best iPhones, adds to the shape of layers. Now that iOS 26 has been out of public beta, you can give it a spin for yourself-and this is a game changer for your home screen.

The liquid glass interface mainly adds the third way to view the app icons in addition to traditional light and dark methods. When active, each icon eliminates a propaganda empty with round edges and colors, a new designed design that causes the icon behind it as if you are watching by glass.

Apple said in a press release last month, “Its color is made aware of the content of the surroundings and intelligently reconciles between light and dark environment.”

As far as the “liquid” section of the name is concerned, it means how transparently shields when you use your Apple device. The menu and buttons can respond to your contact, some gather around your finger, while others are divided into the new menu to avoid disrupting the theory of your content.

In addition, the elements on your lock screen can rotate and rotate to adjust the background images or upcoming notifications. The wallpapers now also benefit from a local photo effect, which is something taken from the vision of Apple’s vision pro headset, which can bend and replace a picture based on your viewing point.

Liquid glass is also not special to Apple’s mobile operating system. Apple Watch, iPhone, and Mac is combining its software shape on the company board to make the switching more smooth. Apple said, “The new design is spread in iOS, iPados, Macos, Wachos and TVOS, which updates system experiences such as lock screen, home screen, desktop, and dock.”
