    Tea, an app that claims to help women “make sure your date is safe, not catfish and not in a relationship,” is facing security violations. 404 Media Notifications that a database posted on 4Chan allowed anyone to access users’ data. (Since then it has been removed.) Dataste contains thousands of photos, including driver’s licenses.

    “This figure was actually stored in compliance with law enforcement requirements to prevent cyber bullying,” said Tea. “We have engaged third -party cybersecurity experts and are working 24 hours to secure our system. There is no evidence that the current or additional user data was affected. The privacy of our users and the protection of data is our top priority.

    The app allows users to post “Red Flog” men photos. “Swipe for dates already on Tinder, Bombal, Match or Occupation?” The app read the Play Store pitch. “Tea is an essential app, which helps women avoid red flags before the first date with dating advice, and they are shown who is behind the person’s profile they are dating.”

    The search for an uphill phone number is highlighted in the Play Store list. It contains men’s real names, age, leaves, social profiles and parts of relationships.     New users need to present a photo of verification selfie and their government -issued ID for the app. Tea told 404 Media That it uses to confirm that new signups are really women.
