If you have an Apple intelligence -driven iPhone, the first public son of iOS 26 is bringing the AI notification summary back to news and leisure apps after partially removed this year.
Apple disabled the AI notification summary for news and leisure apps in January. It was revealed a few weeks after the BBC identified in December that the feature revealed the media organization reports and revealed false information.
The latest son brings back the AI’s summary with a new warning.
Before you download the son and check out these summons, just know that this is not the final version of the beta iOS 26. That means, the update can be small for you, and your device’s battery life can be affected, so it is better to keep these problems away from your basic device. If you want to test the beta, I recommend downloading it on the secondary device.
It is also possible that Apple can eliminate or change this feature before releasing the final version of iOS 26 in this fall.
iOS 26 Beta has warned about summary errors
When I updated the latest iOS 26 son, I was welcomed by some splash screens that demanded various permits. A splash screen was for AI notification summary. When you see this screen, you have two options: Choose notifications to summarize Or No longer. If you tap No longerThe splash screen goes away.
If you tap Choose notifications to summarize, You have been taken to a new page where you will see three categories: News and Entertainment, Communication and Social and all other apps. Taping one of these categories allows information summary for apps in this category. Under the News and Entertainment category, there is a warning that if you tap it, a red outline is offered.
“Summary can change the meaning of the original headline,” reads, adding, “confirm the information.”
In the beta, there is also a warning below the screen that says, “This is a son’s characteristic. There may be mistakes in the summary.”
After tapping your desired category, tap Summarize the selected notifications At the bottom of your screen. If you have selected all categories, this button will read Summarize all notifications.
And if you don’t want this summary, you can tap Don’t summarize the notifications. If you allow them to summarize and not like them, you can close them easily. How is it here
How to close the AI notification summary
1. Tap Settings.
2. Tap Notifications.
3. Tap Summary of notifications.
4. Tap Summary of notifications Toggle in the new menu.
You can also follow the aforementioned steps to resurrect the AI notification summary. You have to choose that you want to summarize this summary again.
Don’t forget, this feature is still in the beta so it can be small, and when the iOS 26 is released to the common people this fall, Apple can change or eliminate it. There is no exact date for this when Apple will release iOS 26.
