    • Nokia has confirmed through Reddate that she is trying to work with phone makers for licensing opportunities.
    • The company was answering a question regarding future licensing deals for mobile phones.
    • It also comes when HMD and Nokia’s contribution ends.

HMD and Nokia have been wrapped up their brand licensing partnership in recent years. In this deal, HMD saw smartphones and feature phones under the name of the Finnish brand. Nokia has now gone to an unexpected Avenue to confirm that she is still looking for new partners.

Official Nokia Community Manager account confirmed Reddate (via Via)) Moblesimo) That the company is looking for a “large -scale mobile manufacturer” who wants to find “cooperation opportunities”. See screenshot below.

An interesting way for Nokia to disclose is to license the Nokia brand to another phone maker. To be fair, the company was responding to a user’s inquiry on brand licensing. Nevertheless, the answer shows that Nokia did not find a new partner when the HMD contract was signed.

Is it even able to license Nokia’s name?

The news has come about two years after the HMD announcement that it will make smartphones in its name. However, the company still offers the Nokia branded feature phone. It is believed that the HMD licensing agreement with Nokia will expire in 2026.

Do you think the new phone maker should grant Nokia’s name license?

As part of the deal, HMD obtained many patents related to Nokia, had many former employees, and released several modern work on classical devices. The upstart company also released a proud but poor Nokia 9 purewave flagship phone, but failed to follow more flagship phones. Instead, the company turned into medium -sized release and repair phones. Recently, the company announced that it would leave the United States, citing “challenging geopolitical and economic environment”.

Despite the challenges of HMD, I am not sure that another brand can work very well in the name of Nokia. The Nokia branded flagship may be the most advanced flagship release and more marketing and R&D resources. However, despite the aforementioned benefits, HMD still was short. In addition, I am guessing that the Nokia brand has dropped significantly in underage users. This means that you probably should not take your breath to the Nokia name to challenge Samsung, Apple, and others.
