The US Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) is giving millions of dollars to leading AI companies to prepare military requests. Each of these “awards” costs up to 200 million, with anthropic, Google, Openi and Xi at the end.
The agency noted that the money would be used to “use agent AI workflow in several mission areas.” In other words, it is mainly for military requests. A press release states that the move will “expand” the defense department’s use of AI to “solve the important needs of national security”.
“The adoption of the AI is changing the ability of the department to support its fighters and maintain a strategic benefit to its opponents,” said Dr. Doug Matty, Chief Digital and AI Officer. He added that this will “intensify the use of advanced AI” in the “fighting domain”. As part of this effort, the CDA will provide access to the latest AI model for “fighter commands, secretary of defense office and joint staff”.
For unstoppable, the CDAO is an arm of the Defense Department formed in 2022. The mission described is to accelerate the “adoption of data, analytics and artificial intelligence on the battlefield” from the board room.
It is worth noting that Zee is one of the companies that receives the government larjers. The news came the same day when the company started offering a Grook version for federal use. This is less than a week when Grook began to go completely off the trains to the anti -seminatic tariffs, and called himself “Machakler”.
This is also an interesting development as the relations between ZK CEO Elon Musk and President Donald Trump have won in recent months. Trump is threatening to remove Musk’s companies from government subsidies, but it seems that today’s announcement is not a threat.
