Gorman: Apple’s M5 MacBook Pro can break its usual release cycle

Renowned analyst and Apple’s internal Mark Gorman has a now interesting to say about the upcoming Capetino’s upcoming MacBook lineup. According to his report, the company is planning to continue the new 14 -inch and 16 -inch MacBook profession with the code names J714 and J716 later this year, in which the M5 chip is playing.

According to the report, Apple is targeting the launch early next year. This very much means that the current MacBook Pro release cycle can continue for a long time, given the fact that the current MacBook Pro model was released in October last year.

According to reports, matters may change. Earlier, Apple launched M1, M3, and M4 MacBook Pro Model in October or November. There is only one exception in this tradition: M2 MacBook Pro, which debuted in January 2023.

Gorman also says that when the new MacBook Pro lineup is launched, it can be the last lineup in the current design. Now MacBook Pro Models Sport was introduced in 2021. Allegedly, follow -up models will include new issues and transitions to OLED (organic lighting dehydrated) screens.

These new OLED displays are more contrary and Apple has been shaking technology in the iPhones since 2017 and with the iPad Pro since 2024.

Meanwhile, Gorman has also claimed that in the first half of the next year, the new model of MacBook Air is coming to the new model (Code Names J813 and J815). The current MacBook Air models were released in March this year and they come with Apple’s M4 chip. Gorman says nothing more about these new MacBook air models. He briefly mentioned a new Mac External Monitor to come in early 2026.

Gorman’s report does not mention the mysterious ‘cheap’ MacBook, which has recently been shown in rumors, so for now, it seems that this device will not be prepared for release with the aforementioned MacBox.

I personally think that if Gorman is fine, Apple is playing smartly by removing these releases a little more. This gives each lineup a little breathing room – and let’s be honest, most people do not upgrade their MacBook every year. The really interesting thing is that a new design and an OLED display is likely. If this is true, they may be able to stop shopping until they reach them.

In the meantime, recently, there was also a leak about an M3-ultra-powered MacBook Pro, which seems to be an abandoned project at the moment (and this Gorman report indicates the fact that is not talked about at all). However, we expect a strong M5 McBook Pro performance anyway, which has a performance and battery life that apparently cannot get the M3-Ultra-driven MacBook Pro.
