Activation calls off duty: WWII offline from the Xbox PC app after complaints of security issue. Some players have reported the PC version of the game on the Xbox app to include a major security exploitation, which causes their computers to be hacked. The activation has not particularly acknowledged the threat but said it was investigating the “problem”. After the call of duty, the security issue came to light: WWII was added to the Xbox Game Pass in June.
Call of Duty: WWII took offline
“Call of Duty: PC was brought to the Microsoft Store to WWII when we investigate reports of a problem,” the official call of duty updates posted on the X on the weekend. The problem in question came to light when some players reported the hack while playing the game on the Xbox app on the PC.

It seems that malicious actors have found an exploitation that can help them control a player’s PC through remote code (RCE). The hacker can then install malware or access the player’s data on the PC.
A player uploaded the gameplay footage of the WWII’s Xbox PC version, claiming that he was hacked while playing the game. In the video, the player can be seen “RCED”, claiming the command prompt and notepad popups.
The activation has taken the game servers offline, but the shooter is still listed on the PC on the Xbox app. The publisher has not released any refreshments on the issue of security as he acknowledged it on Saturday.
Call of Duty: WWII was added to the Game Pass on June 30 and is available in PC and Xbox Consoles on the Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass and Game Pass standard levels. The World War 2 shooter was released in 2017 at PC, PS4 and Xbox One. This is the fourth main line call of duty title to join the subscription service. Other calls of duty games on the game pass include Black Ops 6 and modern warfare 2 and 3. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was the first codification to launch on service day.
Meanwhile, the activation is ready to fully display the next call duty this summer. Black Ops 7 was confirmed last month at Xbox Games Showcase and is ready to launch at PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X later this year. This game will also be available on the first day.
