- Google can potentially force battery health relief to be enabled on a pixel phone, which has poor battery health.
- Users cannot change/disable this feature until they change their phone’s battery.
- Pixel 9A users are already capable and compulsory, even on new devices.
Update, July 2, 2025 (1:58 pm et): Well, it didn’t take much time! Just a few hours after sharing your results with you about battery health relief changes, Google posted a battery performance program support page for Pixel 6A, which confirmed plans to limit charge on some hardware after the mandatory update on July 8.
The original article, July 2, 2025 (10:09 AM et): Pixel smartphones have been an important recommendation as an Android phone, but recently, we are hearing more about their battery problems. Most battery problems affect the Pixel A series, making them difficult to recommend. Google introduces battery health aid features with Pixel 9A, allowing the OS to automatically (and forced) the phone’s battery capacity and charged its speed over time. Other pixel devices can also use the battery health aid features, but it seems that Google can potentially mandate them for low battery -healthy pixel devices.

At first glance, it seems that if the battery health goes down from a particular point, Google Battery can turn off the health aid feature. However, such a move will be contradictory.
The battery health is reduced to the maximum voltage of the battery gradually to the battery performance and aging. However, you will not like it because it will also reduce battery life and increase the charging time. If a user’s feature has been for years and they eventually reach the point where they need to change the battery, disabling battery health will probably return the maximum voltage of their battery to the original level, which will only worsen the situation.
When you look at the words closely, the situation makes a lot of understanding. In the latest detail, Google says, “Battery health cannot be aid Reverse Unless the battery is replaced “(emphasis).
Google has not yet announced this change in battery health assistance, so it remains to be seen what they have in mind. In view of the increase in battery -related events in the Pixel A series, it would not necessarily be surprised to see battery health relief when battery health falls below a certain level. We will continue to update you when we learn more.
