Ankar has just announced the memory of his second product this year – and when this is bad news for the brand, a silver lining for you. If you own one of the Proper Power Banks, you may be eligible for a free alternative.
Referring to lithium -ion battery issues within the company, six are remembering six different power bank models. These include anchor power core, megago, and Zulu series models.
Below, we will tell you everything you need to know about the memories of the Encker’s Power Bank and what to do next.

Which anchor power bank is affected by the memory?
Ankar launched two separate memories. In early June, one included a single power bank model, while the other recently extended the list to a pair of ankar product lines through an additional five models.
The Power Bank that was previously called back was Encker Power Corps 10000 (A1263). If you have purchased a power bank via Amazon, you will receive an email as we received below. Subject Line ‘Attention: Your past Amazon Order is important safety notice’.

Not every power core was returned to 10000 power bank. The returning units include only the A1263 model, which is developed between January 1, 2016 and October 30, 2019. All memorable units were sold in the United States between June 1, 2016 and December 31, 2022.
The second memory was more comprehensive and contained the following models:
- Inkar Zulu Model A1681 (20K, 30 watts, with built-in USB-C and power cables)
- Inkar Zulu Model A1689 (20K, 30 watts, with built-in USB-C cable)
- Snark Megago Model A1652 (7.5 watts, 10,000mah)
- Smoke Power Bank Model A1257 (10K, 22.5 Watt)
- Smoke Power Bank Model A1647 (22.5 watts, 20,000mah, with built-in USB-C cable)
In these cases, Eskar has not explained the date of manufacturing or sales for the affected power banks. But referring to the aforementioned models, his ‘voluntary memory’ notice states, “While the possibility of malfunction is considered minimal, we have decided to start a voluntary global memorandum of numerous Ankar Power Bank models.”
How do you check if your Encker Power Bank has been called back

It does not matter what you have the affected model, your first step will be to test the model and serial number on the back or side of your Power Bank.
Each unit in each model is not being returned, so even if you have any of them, it may not be eligible for alternatives.
Next, you will have to input serial numbers with some other important details on the online monument form of the ability to check the eligibility.
If it is confirmed to be one of the certified models, you should stop using it immediately and submit a product memory form. It contains information about requesting a gift card or alternative.
What can you get if your Power Bank is eligible?
If your Power Bank is affected by any memories, the ankle will either offer you an alternative or gift card. The people of the United States will not receive a refund, although the Encurred is offering a refund in China.

In the case of the Power Corps 10000, Ankar says you will be offered an alternative power bank. If this is on the back order, you can either select the $ 30 Gift Card instead of (to be used on the Scores store) or the Power Core 10000 will be re -available.
The second memory is slightly more ambiguous, but Ankar says you will be able to choose between a gift card or an alternative unit.
How to offer a claim to remember
Once you are convinced that you own one of the aforementioned models, submit your memory claim to the Scorrrhage.
- If you have a spheres power core 1000 (A1263), go to the Form of Remembering the Project for this model
- If you have one of the other power banks (A1257, A1647, A1652, A1681, A1689), instead go to this memory form.
In both cases, you may be asked for serial numbers, purchase, order numbers, and Power Bank photos.

Why is the Encurred Power Banks being called back?
The reason for the reasons has not been in full detail, but in both cases, it seems that the problem is from the battery.
When announcing the first memory, Enker said that these power banks could pose a risk of fire due to the “potential problem with lithium -ion battery”. According to reports, the battery may be hot, and if this happens, some of the plastic components can melt, resulting in smoke or fire.
In the second memory, Ankar revealed that he had identified a potential problem with lithium -ion battery cells in which one of his shopkeepers was made. The company has admitted that problems are unlikely, but it is cautious and is remembering the five affected models.
Can you still use your Old Power Bank?
Once it is confirmed that your power bank is affected by memory, you should stop using it immediately. Even if it looks like it is doing well, it is at risk of fire, so you should waste it as soon as possible.
Eskar says you should not “dispose of the common recycling streams (eg, street levels or curbside recycling cans), or in the use of battery drop -off boxes commonly found in retail or home improvement shops.”
Instead, Eskar recommends abandoning it at the facility of disposal of local electronics, which accepts returning devices through lithium -ion batteries. The reason for this is that the returning batteries need to be treated differently to people regularly due to high risk of fire.
