According to a report by Ming Chi Kov, a respected TF International Securities analyst on Monday, Apple will release several headmound AR and VR products in 2027, which will drop an upgraded vision pro headset later this year.

Currently there are three vision series products in development, as well as four pairs of smart glasses. A ray bean meta style smart product will show 3-5 million delivery in 2027. Apple expects more than 10 million AR/VR products to be shipped in 2027, suggesting that the company views it as the next major user tech category.

However, this year, Apple will release the Vision Pro M5 version, which will show upgrade of Apple’s M2 chip.

In 2027, Apple will release a light vision, which will reduce weight by 40 % and will have the latest iPhone processor. A second -generation vision pro 2028 is developed for a “significantly light” design at a very new and low price. At the end of the smart glass, a mass market display lace pair of frames will see the release of 2027. For those who seek XR experience, glasses of expansion will be revealed with colorful display in 2028 and will show AI contacts.

Apple did not immediately respond to a comment request.

The smart glass market is increasing

According to Grand View Research, the global smart glass market is worth $ 1.93 billion in 2024 and will be $ 8.26 billion by 2030. This is why many players in Big Tech are jumping into the next generation of technology to wear.

Meta has shown her Orion and Okley branded smart glasses, showing her Orion prototype, which includes a transparent display that can provide information on the lens.

Earlier this year, Google unveiled its new AR and VR platform with glasses made in collaboration with Qualcomm and Samsung. The chipmaker is also working on AI models to help NVIDIA smart glass experience.

In this race, Meta has the most advantage because she does not have a phone or computing platform and looks largely to rule the changes from Apple, Microsoft and Google. However, taking steps in AR and VRSpace, it can own both hardware and software in the smart glass market.

But Apple has a large -scale brand loyalty, and entering this place will be a major threat to the current market dominance of Meta. At present, Ray Ben Meta glass has sold 2 million units and its struggle VR headset has also pursued 20 million units.
