The WWD is in the Mirror Mirror Mirror, and it would be fair to say that Apple (wisely) has a lot to be excited even with Apple’s broader intelligence upgrade.
The iPad Gating Troy Window Management was a huge addition, while the new design language in all platforms is sure to come to September. But relatively tucked away, almost as a margin, was the promise of more features that come in the reminders – and seeing these features, I can actually have the opportunity to get away from things 3.
Let me explain

Here’s the talk
The decent code is the ‘Things’ app, as anyone who uses it will tell you, the sacred stone of the UI design. This is a task manager that looks great, even Apple itself couldn’t work well, and it’s been my leading organizational toll for the best part of a decade. For this matter it is a powerful tool for everyone who uses any of the best MacBox and Max – or any of any Apple device.
I use the app on my Mac, my iPad, my iPhone, and my Apple Watch, even sending the tasks down with the action button shortcut on my phone. And still, I’m straying myself. It is not that things 3 are less magical than when I started using it. That’s all that many rivals have closed this gap.
Matters are an easy place to throw 3 tasks, file them in parts, and enjoy the serotonin hit when you collide them. There is no harm in it, but it has some important features that now offer its competitors.
There is no shared reminder list, so my wife can add things to me, and there is no web version. It also lacks ‘truth’, meaning that I must enter my actions in reminders and if I want them to be ordered, they will be compatible with things.
So – if I am Not Make them compatible? What if I just, you know, used Apple’s reminders to run my life?
Re -living the system
I use the idea as a database to run my job life, but things are where my daily things happen. Every night, I load it with morning tasks, and every morning, I start checking them.
But what if my wife need me to take something from the shop? What if I would like to ask Siri to add something to my daily list by carplay? These are the kinds of things where reminders will work, but this is not new. In fact, Apple has been pouring a ton of work in reminders for the past few years, so what’s about switching me now?
As an author, I am careful with the AI. I have always been able to keep a careful look at the hard -working content, but I admit that the machine has plenty of presentation to the learning (and no, I don’t mean that there are summary of these horrible notifications).
This year, with the iOS 26 and Macos Taho (and various Apple OS Release), Apple Intelligence will be merged with reminders, so that they can automatically guess what the next action item should be. Receive a confirmation that one of my independent articles appeared? It would be great to pop up the task to invoke it. Create a note from a meeting? It will be very helpful to have a place to send details.
Even this app will be able to work intelligently, which should go into your work, that is, less time is spent in putting them in the right places.
I am probably moving beyond myself (and I am not even sure if there is no AI functionality in the current beta), but even if it is not reminded that I don’t move (I still love this UI), I feel that 3 (or indeed A fourth version) can think further with the update.
What can 4 do things add?
OK then: decent code, are you listening? There are a handful of things that long -lasting users like me would love to see in a potential ‘4’.
For one, I would love to keep it as a different time slot in the morning/afternoon/evening (it is currently just day and evening), which can then allow further granting with ordering tasks.
A web app is also necessary (some of us use Windows, do you know?) While the listing option can improve things 3 more for small business owners like ourselves. And hey, the theory of the canbin will mean that I do not need to take care and throw them into things too.
