Announced by Instagram chief Adam Mousesri, this change separates the content filters of the threads from the people on Instagram, which allows more personal settings that do not affect the central app.
The hidden words are a device that helps users filter specific words, phrases, or amulets in feeds, answers, profiles and search results. So far, the threads relied on the filters that consumers founded on Instagram. With new updates, threads find its own version of hidden words, designed to operate independently.
This feature has also been improved with some new options. First, users can now create a custom filter in the batches. This means that it is possible to stop multiple words or amogies together rather than add one by one. This can be useful to those who want to manage their feed more efficiently.
Second, threads now allow you to fix the expiry dates for these filters. If there is a title in which you just want to avoid a short time, such as spoiling for a show or news event, you can set the filter to disappear after 30 days. In this way, users can take a break from some titles without manually removing the filter later.
According to Meta, these updates are part of an ongoing attempt to add more user application tools to the platform.
