Apple TV 4K is one of the excellent streaming devices, and has only found a major update in the WWDC that will take TVOS to new heights.
As much as we like it, however, this is still not a great system outside the box. There are some settings that you want to consider changing the maximum performance changer.
Fortunately, Apple has made it very easy to find the device settings, in which we need many options in the video and audio section. This is what you need to change, and which one can leave you alone.
You can like
4k SDR format

Let’s start with the most obvious sequence: video format. It can surprise you, but I usually recommend setting it in 4K SDR.
Once it is set properly, you do not need to see that you do not need to see the disturbing black flash when the SDR switchs from the HDR formats. It is very common on YouTube and other platforms, and it can force you to think that there is a problem with this device.
Thus, it is better to keep the central video format on 4K SDR (or if you are not using 4K TV, put on 1080p SDR). It will not reduce the quality in any way. In fact, it can create menus and other materials that are being forcibly changed look a little better in the HDR.
Chroma settings
Chroma Subsalling refers to the way color is transmitted through compressed video data, and in the case of Apple TV 4K, you have a couple of options to choose on TV depending on TV you are using.
Chroma 4: 4: 4 is a way to go if your TV supports it and if you are using the applicable HDMI cable. Switching to 4: 4: 4 must give you full color array access and make the menus slightly more dynamic. However, you will be strictly pressured to see a significant change in the common content.
Before you get the full benefits of any chroma toxes, you may have to change your HDR settings first (and if you adjust the video output exactly, it will return to 4: 2: 0).
Unfortunately, my TV only supports Chroma 4: 2: 2, but it is better than 4: 2: 0 – even if the latter is largely in favor of its growing reliability. If you run away in any signal failures, such as flickering or black screens, you can always go back to 4: 2: 0, which I would suggest if you are using one of the excessive HDMI cable or one of the best projectors.
HDMI output

The HDMI setting on Apple TV 4K controls the colorful space in digital video content, which runs by hand with chroma and brightness. This sequence does not really need to be changed unless it is already set on the YCBCR.
You will have three total options to choose, including RGB High, RGB Low, and the aforementioned YCBCR. The latter is your best bet for the best possible performance on Apple TV 4K, while RGB can be better if you are running a different type of device.
If you were using an excellent monitor with your Apple TV 4K, you may consider RGB even high or low, but I’m not sure there is a huge audience for it.
There are also some TVs that may be worth the RGB, but for our purposes we will remain with the YCBCR.
Match content
Just below the chroma setting, you will find a “match content” setting, which will automatically depend on what is running on the screen from the SDR to the SDR and from 24 hertz on the screen. In this way, you would like to enable both boundaries and frame rates.
Once active, you do not have to worry if your device is correctly configured when Dolby Vision Movie is running on 24Hz. Apple TV 4K will set yourself on the right settings to achieve this crisp cinema feeling without any extra stir from you.
In this case, the “range” not only refers to HDR, but also other factors, such as explaining the movement. It depends on the content you are seeing, but it is recommended that they change it out of the box.
Audio Takes
At the bottom of the video and audio section, you will find all the audio settings that we need to change. From here, you can compile it so that your audio output will play with other connected speakers if you want, or if you prefer it, you will only rely on the TV speaker.
You can also check if your TV has a voice functionality under the audio format section. Given that Samsung is using Samsung S90D OLED TV, it has dolby atoms support, it is listed in the available formats, but most users should only leave it to the auto.

There are also some other notable settings that you can comply, such as increasing dialogue and reducing loud sounds. As their names say, they increase and reduce some audio indicators to improve the sound of the audio. I will recommend to extend the dialogue above all, but it comes to the user’s priority.
Finally, I recommend turning off the navigation clicks. When you move about menus, it does not offer much more than noise opinion.
Remote and devices

An additional sequence that I will change is clickpad functionality. This is another priority thing, so don’t feel that it is a responsibility. Still, this can be quite disturbing – especially if you have navigation clicks in the audio tab. It is better to keep it on the clicks just because it makes the navigation so much fluid.
When you are here, you can also convert the TV button to the home screen if you prefer to jump into the Apple TV Plus. It would be good if Apple lets you set on any application, but in this case it is just home or Apple TV Plus.
Also scroll at the bottom and activate the functionality of the CEC, titled only titled “Control TV and Recipters”. This allows you to use the same remote instead of two, so when you make a movie or show’s time you are not stuck for several remote remote.
Normal settings you should change
Last but least, there are some settings in the normal section you want to consider changing. There is a big appearance. I immediately. He turned into a dark mode, which I find easy on my eyes, but you can prefer it in the light setting.
Before Apple gets into a sleep mode, you can also adjust how long it takes. This is set at a default 15 minutes, but it can be short for 5 minutes or 4 hours. You can set it on “never” so Apple TV never falls asleep, but your energy bill will not be happy.
Generally, you will also find some remarkable settings of privacy: Although it is talked about privacy, Apple TV 4K is still the best streaming box, the couple’s settings are important here, such as sharing Apple TV analytics, improve Siri and dictation, and location services. You can prefer them that you will prefer, but they help Apple improve its product.
Enable “Allow Apple to track” in a “track” setting. This ensures that after installing apps, it is necessary to track the data you have to use some brands to use your data against you.
You can go down the list and see which apps are using different features, such as Bluetooth, photos, microphones and camera data. It is a good habit to keep an eye on it, especially if you have children who may not be so inclined to read that they are choosing at any moment.
