Openai added new capabilities to canvas and projects in Chat GPT last week. San Francisco -based artificial intelligence (AI) firm is now letting users download the content inside the canvas in multiple file types. Separately, the company is also increasing the feature of its projects, which now supports deep research, sound mode and more. Chat GPT has many new features
In a post on X (previously known as Twitter), Open’s official handle announced that the content produced in the Chat GPT canvas feature can now be downloaded. Canvas was first introduced as a preview in October 2024, and was later extended to all users in December 2024. This is a sandbox -style pop -up window inside the chat boot that allows users to edit, formatting, and other changes to the text and codes.
With this new feature, users will be able to download text -created text as PDF, Microsoft Word (.DOCX), and Mark Downt (.MD) file types. Additionally, when coding, the user can export the file directly to the relevant type, including. .PY for .py, for JavaScript. JS, and. SQL for Structural Question Language (SQL). In particular, canvas are available for all users on Chatgpt website, desktop apps, and mobile apps.
In addition, the company is also increasing capabilities in the project, a device that allows users to make a chat folder where AI maintains the context of previous conversation, a particular rules, and uploaded files. Specifically, the projects are currently available only to the platform paid users.
In a separate post, the company announced the new features in the projects. It will now support deep research and allow users to ask questions for depth, multilateral research with public web sources. Projects will also support Chat GPT’s voice mode for hand -free experience.
In addition, consumers will also be able to create a unique URL for the chat folder and share it with others. In projects, Chat GPT can also use better memory function and refer to past chats in a project to ensure that the responses are in line with context. Consumers will be able to transform any chat from any project from the sidebar menu or a chat into the project folder.
Finally, Chat GPT mobile app users can now upload files and change the AI model while in a project. However, to access this feature, users will need to stay on the latest version of the app.
