Apple has made many changes to the iPad in the past years, but iPados 26 can still be one of the most important updates. The new software brings more desktop experience to the iPad, and according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gorman, it can be the best time to introduce a large model for Apple-a possibly long rumor of 15-inch iPad.
One of the biggest improvements in iPados 26 is the new multi -tasking system. Apple has replaced the Stage Manager feature more flexible and user -friendly to manage multiple Windows. Now you can move the apps freely, replace them more easily, and use a new toggle to tile as well as Windows. A new exposure mode shows all open apps at the same time, and even there is a MacStile menu bar to help you navigate.

Gorman said these changes eventually make multi -tasking on the iPad complete. The past version of iPados tried to bring desktop features to the iPad without far away. But now, Apple iPad seems more comfortable to compete directly with Mac – and the software feels more solid because of it.
This shift can open the door to a larger iPad. Right now, the largest model is a 13 -inch iPad Pro. But if Apple really wants to maximize these new multi -tasking tools, the 15 -inch version can be very meaningful. This will give users more space to work and offer a better fit for the new window features.

It seems that Apple’s long -term plan also supports this direction. Gorman reports that the company is working towards a future where iPads and Max share many design elements and apps. The main difference is how users interact with them: Touch on MAC on iPads, keyboards and trackpads. They also say that Apple is planning a 19 -inch foldable device for 2028, which will connect the two elements.
Of course, releasing the big iPad will not be enough. Apple still needs developers to update their apps for big screens and make sure the iPad is a strong option for both comfortable and professional users.
But with iPados 26, with a full experience of multi-tasking at the end of 26, the idea of a 15-inch iPad is no longer a rumor-it can be a lost piece. I personally look forward to this future, iPados 26 already feels completely different by using it with a new winding system and with 15 “models, this experience will definitely take this next level.
