Open’s chat GPT markets are some of the big AI chat boots rivals: Gemini, Co -Palt, Claude. Now add 2600 Attari to this list. The OG video game console, which was first released in 1977, was used in an engineer’s experience to see how it would be a chess game against the AI chatboat.
Using a software emulator to run the 1979 game video chess, Sitrix Engineer Robert Keroso said he was able to set up a match between Chat GPT and 46 -year -old games. The match -up chat did not go well for GPT.
Keroso wrote in the LinkedIn post, “Chattagpat confused confusion for bishops, lost the infantry and repeatedly lost the lost track – the first descending icons were also blamed as a abstract, then no better than it turned into a standard of chess.”
“He made a lot of mistakes to laugh at the third grade chess club,” Keroso said. “Chatgot was completely destroyed at the beginning.”
Keroso wrote that the 90 -minute match continued badly and AI Chatboat repeatedly requested that the match ended.
For decades, the ability to defeat humans in chess has been a measure of their strength. In 1997, IBM made headlines when its deep blue technology defeated Grand Master Gary Kasparov of Chess in a series of matches.
Keroso’s experience does not mean that Chat GPT is useless for chess, but since it is more language model than a supercomputer, it is less likely to present this goal well. A few years ago, a developer created a chatting plugin called Chasgapat. But trying to play against it can be better to discuss chess more than an Openi chat boot.
