Earlier this year, Meta announced Ariya General 2 as a research -based device and the 2020 project Arya successor. The company has now taken a deep dive into the technology that strengthens the second generation of AI and ML -powered smart glasses. It comes with a variety of improvements compared to the first generation model, including upgraded sensors, hinds and ieking systems, and photo -plates, like Apple Watch.

According to Meta, the ARIA General 2 maintains its lightweight design, weighing between 74-76 grams. It is said that smart glasses are proud of better style and comfort, which is proud of better clothing and relief, with folding arms for more easy storage and transport. It is available in the total eight -sized options for different forms of the face, calculating factors such as head width and nasal bridges variations.

Smart glass global shutter camera sensor can achieve a higher dynamic range of 120DB than 70DB on the first generation model. Meta claims that it helps the computer work operate in different light conditions. In addition, it has four computer vision (CV) cameras equipped with advanced 3D hands and eye tracking capabilities with advanced views. Meta Ariya General 2 also increases stereo overlap on the first generation model from 35 degrees to 80 degrees. It is said to facilitate stereo -based foundations and models that increase the impression of local awareness and depth.

Standout features on smart glasses have their hands and eye tracking abilities. They take advantage of a camera -based eye tracking system that tracks the wearer’s eyes and provides information such as the eye, the virgin point, the blinking and the diameter of the student. Meta says it can potentially improve human computer dialogue and understand the visual focus of the wearer. Meanwhile, Ariya General can track the hand in the 2 -3D space and produce a hand -shaped possession in the reference frame. According to the company, these applications enable the precise manual labeling of datases such as the Dexators Robot Hand diamond.

Area General 2 Glasses come with the following hardware:

    • 12 megapixel RGB camera
    • Four computer vision camera
    • Light -sensor
    • Seven local microphones
    • Excelrometer
    • GNSS
    • Barometer
    • Stereo speaker
    • Privacy switch and volume control
    • USB Type C port

Ariya General 2 also takes advantage of Visual Inertial Odometry (VIO) to detect glasses in a six degree of Freedom (6 DOF) in a local frame of reference. It is said that it will help the AI and robotics in the context by allowing the environment navigation and mapping. These features have been strengthened by the Advanced On Device Machine’s impression algorithm, which runs on the Meta Customs Perception.

Smart glasses have a better sweetener of sensors. This includes a Calibette Light Sensor, which has better control algorithms that also work at lower frame rates. It comes with an ultra -violet mode that can distinguish between color and indoor lighting. Meanwhile, a smart glass pad is a contact microphone to capture the audio. The nasal pad also includes a PPG sensor that can properly detect the wearer’s heart rate.

Despite these upgrades, Ariya General 2 glasses claim that they will only act as “test bed” in the development of modern smart glasses and will not be commercially available. It aims to researchers and Meta partners, companies like BMW and companies such as universities, including Carnagi Melan, IIT Hyderabad, and Bristol University.
